GT: Nets Vs Trailblazers 3:00 PM 11/27

Post#1 » by Stone » Sun Nov 27, 2022 2:20 pm

Looking for our 10TH win against a Trailblazers team that just beat the Knicks in OT. Plus we know they will be looking for payback. We can not let that happen under any circumstances. Like NetsWorld said in the OP of the last GT ....if we lose it will demoralize the team. We need a decisive victory against a good team.

I believe these Sunday afternoon games when the crowd usually seems less enthusiastic favors the road team or at least lowers the advantage. So we got that working against us. We got the talent, we just need a consistent 48 minutes of good communication and a balanced effort. It just can't be all on KD

Gotta win at least 5 of 7 at home. No less, consistency needs to start now since we are gonna be at home. Good news is Warren will be back and hopefully he’ll work his way into a decent scorer

You would think we would be stream rolling these guys without Dame. But it’s like a curse in disguise

What garbage! Two awful defensive sequences. This team is lazy and pathetic.

Vaughn keeps giving Kyrie the keys to the second unit surrounded by absolute elite shooting. And Kyrie just refuses to do anything. It's so weird. How many quick time outs has Vaughn had to call the second KD is off the floor?

20 games in and Sean Marks hasn't signed a back up Center. Fire this idiot already

I have no idea what is happening but we should not see a drop off like that when KD sits down. Kyrie + Ben and shooters should be a bucket every time.

We have got to stop overhelping on defense. There is zero reason to double Simons 1 on 1 vs Claxton

Something in me feels like Kyrie is tanking on purpose and Harris is just a disaster at this point WE NEED a BIG. WE NEED HEART. This team is just utter trash defensively.

It's the DEFENSE. Vaughn has got to get this cleaned up. We shouldn't be leaving shooters open, screw Nurkic posting up who cares? I'd rather give up a contested two over a wide open 3 from a good shooter

One of the big problems with our defense is that Clax willingly seems to switch onto perimeter defenders. It messes up the rebounding since hes completely out of position so many time.

I don't think Kyrie is tanking. I think he's trying to play within the offense and isn't being as aggressive as we're used to seeing.

That's not even an issue with me. Our defense is a serious problem. The overhelping has to stop. The three guard line ups kill us. We need Yuta back badly

Honestly i feel like that's Kyrie's version of tanking. KD sits the first 6 minutes of the second quarter every time. We scored 4 points in that time.

I agree the defense is bad and Harris is killing us but man, the second unit should be cooking on offense. This has felt like a theme with Kyrie under Vaughn. So many minutes where he just looks uninterested.

That's fair, i think he should be cooking in those line ups and force the defenses to get the ball out of his hands.

I think the guy probably is bored playing in a structured offense but he needs to figure out when to be an attacker and when to facilitate like he did just now on that Durant 3.

I’m learning to dislike the guy more and more. **** him. I’m scared of pulling KD because he’s just gonna destroy it if KD sits

December 2nd can't come soon enough. We need a shot in the arm.

While Claxton took a while to get up you have to think how screwed we would be without him for a long stretch.
