The 18-5 Celtics come into the Clays with the best record in the NBA. They lost to the Heat Friday night at home.

We are now 13-11 and are in 6TH place and looking for our 5TH straight win.

After a horrible start to the season we are seeing growth and cohesiveness. Our players look like they have confidence in each other and JV has them putting in the work and we finally looking prepared.

Our guys probably won't admit it, but after losing to the Celtics in the playoffs last season. The game has to mean something extra.

I heard Kevin post game day he’s ready. I think he’ll have a huge game. We are supposed to be better than Boston but the crap we went through had us suffer while Boston grew. I don’t see the game as a win. Celtics will take it but it’ll be a loss you live with this early in the season. If we can somehow reel off another 5-6 wins after tomorrows loss, I’ll be fine. Nets are starting to really come together but there’s work to be done. Also, what you see in the first Q last night is a hint of how good this team can be. The O is there, it’ll be there D. Also, Boston’s D is unlike any other when they face the Nets because they trap KD like he raped their mom.

Let's stick with the Claxton/KD/Royce/Harris/Kyrie line up.

Bench unit: Simmons/Yuta/Warren/Curry/Sumner

No one else needs to play. This is a solid rotation that i just missing a big man for certain match ups

I'll add the fact that they missing T.Will ( even though he always hurt ) and we just got TJ back. I won't draw any conclusion from this game because it's early and unfortunately injuries won't tell us what match ups teams going to seek.

We definitely can use a win for seeding reasons and it'll feel good to beat Saltics. Other than that, it's just another game that don't provide meaning due to injuries. We can't use this game as measuring stick because of Ben and TJ. Them two will be crucial for us. If they would've been healthy and played, than we can speculate about few things.

We back door swept them while they were going through meltdown. They returned the favor next year while we went through same crap. If anything, we even here.

We need to see what both teams going to look like later in a season. We just not ready as a team even if we win. It'll be a fluky win or loss imo. For us really to measure both teams, we need to give Ben and TJ some time to show us whether they can be trusted health wise and only than draw any conclusions. Them two games on Feb 1 and March 3 will tell us everything we need to know about our match up. Especially that March 3 game. That'll be the time when teams will fight for seeding reasons and match ups.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the refs call this game. If the allow the celts to hack Durant like they did during the playoffs then it’s definitely going to be a loss.

1- this is not Steve Trash led team.
2- Kyrie
3- different roster

Huge difference.

I think I should repeat this again. Drawing any conclusions from this game will be foolish. JV, Ben and TJ need more time. Another month or two will make huge difference.

This game means jack. People seriously believe a healthy and clicking Nets team cannot beat the Celtics are out of their mind. I don’t expect a win just because Celtics are red hot. But March-April the tides can turn. Nets are more than capable of beating the Celtics.

Yep. That starting lineup has been working very well.

As you mentioned, need a back up center and probably another bench wing to take some pressure off Warren/Yuta.

It's hilarious how any time we get off to a good start, we start treating the game like an all star game. Meanwhile teams execute and we give up the lead immediately.

Just turned the game on. Jaylen Brown has 20pts?!? WTF. Who they got on him, Joe?

Our second unit is gonna get cooked with Tatum on the floor with KD on the bench.

Brown was hot but the execution was really bad that quarter. Lots of bad shots. Screwed up at least 3 or 4 easy transition buckets. Dumb fouls by Seth. Dumb stuff from Cam.

We survived the onslaught but now we got to play catch up. We have to out score them in the second. KD and Kyrie both look off tonight. Too much individual stuff going on and not enough ball movement.

Boston's just too good for us.

We can’t finish under the rim. Either missing or shots getting blocked.

Defense has been horrible. I don't know what is up with the effort today.
