GT: Nets @ Jazz - 1/20 9:00

Post#1 » by Stone » Fri Jan 20, 2023 2:07 pm

The jazz have won four of their last five and we are in the depths of a four game losing streak. We are also on the second night of a back to back.

We know what we need to do to win and it starts at the jump. We need to get back the spacing to get better looks, we need more set plays instead of chucking up low percentage shots early in the 24 second clock. Hero ball ain't going to win it, we need an entire team effort tonight.

And it all starts on the defensive end. Gang rebound, box out and much much better communication. We have a substantial amount of good defenders and we need to avoid foul trouble in particular Nic and Ben. Excuses are getting old. Let's get this important Win.

Olynick is out tonight.

Another bad team.

I saw some good things in the 4th Q. An absolute must win.

Lets pray that we can find a way to win this one.

My guess is Kyrie sits today.

Don't think we have a shot here. Jazz are a really good offensive team. Since KD has been out, we've been last in the league offensively. We won't be able to keep up.

Fully expect this losing streak to stretch to 8 games at least.

The Jazz will blow us out if we look anything like these last 3 games. This is shameful.

:o

I believe it. The basketball doesn't move, and guys are bricking shots left and right.

This team needs some time to practice and get their heads back together. This shouldn't be happening with this roster regardless of Durant. We aren't playing the right way at all.

Offense was horrible the first 3 games, defense was fine.

Last game offense was fine, defense was horrible.

Need a game where we put it together. Thats the issue.

Isn't he basically washed?

Also if trading for a 2nd, I think the last place they would trade him is here.

He's not on the injury report. The whole calf soreness thing was to get him rest and manage his minutes. 27-17 and potentially worse looming is not the time to sit him; Nets going to have to reel off at least four straight wins to alleviate the last four games.

I really shouldn't be invested in watching this game.

The team keeps saying this team isn't the same last season's, that there's a comaraderie and that they have each other's back. This game will be telling if it's all talk, teams that are together grow stronger at times of adversity.

We should have some momentum from the strong 4th quarter last night so let's see how the Nets come out in the 1st.

Cam is a black hole on offense.

I'm sorry the kid has talent but he's not efficient enough to play like he's a #1

Unfortunately hes the only scorer the team has.

GM never bothered to sign a real point guard

We desperately need to win. Defense just fell off a cliff.

I don't get how can we be this bad defensively with Claxton and Simmons.

These switches our killing us. Were cooked.

We have to come out aggressive in the second half. We are playing way too soft.
