GT: Nets @ Celtics 2/1- 7:30

Post#1 » by Stone » Tue Jan 31, 2023 11:38 pm

There is no way sugar coat it. We have lost 9 in a row to the Celtics. They are the team to beat.

These are the games we need to find a way. It is an away game.If we can get a lead we have to hold onto it.

The C's have a better record but they aren't unbeatable.

Anyone have injury updates please post them.

Without KD we have no chance. If we don't have Ben to contain Tatum, even less of a chance. Kyrie always struggles against Boston. This might be a ride Cam and hope he cooks kind of game.

Yea we gotta hope somebody other than Kyrie gets hot and drop like 30 pts. I'm going to guess it'll be Seph Curry. What's up with TJ ??

No Simmons, means nobody to really guard Tatum. I don't give us much of a chance.

Wouldn't even mind resting Kyrie tbh.

If Nets really wanted this game, they will play their hearts out for it. No team in this league is unbeatable; it is a nationally televised game so I am hoping for a huge effort from the boys tonight. We still have offense and we play better without Simmons. But what I will say is, Marks' days as GM are numbered. I can honestly and genuinely believe now that this guy really dogged it the past three months knowing the new assistant is going to replace him. I hope this guy never gets a job with another team IF no good move is made. And before anyone chews my head off, I am speaking for Nets fans who have suffered years and years without a championship and a competitive team on the court.

I'm not very confident since we don't have Simmons to defend Tatum, but we've gotta try anyway. Everyone is playing really hard.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Celtics come out flat as they may take the matchup lightly. That's what some on the C's board are insinuating. So hopefully they underestimate the match up and we take advantage. Nets have caught many breaks this year. Thank God we are 31-19 in February and not an abysmal record in the midst of an awful losing streak. I will live with a loss tonight but I want them to fight and pour their hearts out. A win tonight would be our BIGGEST of the season. It would end the skid against the C's since last January and they are considered the best team in the league.

The team is managing to stay afloat and KD will be back soon. We just have to keep grinding, Kyrie playing lights out has gone a long way here.

Celtics havent been playing well at all, but I think we're missing too much size with Ben and TJ both out to win this one.

I wonder if the refs will offer a grovelling apology for all the teams that got screwed in favor of the Lakers

This is the worst we have played all season.

Honestly just sit the starters. This game is done. No point anymore.
