Never in my life thought we could end up with two Cams but welcome CJ with the Klay Thompson mindset.

he's going to get a big extension this offseason.

What to Expect From an Extension
"Do not expect a new Johnson contract to surpass the four-year, $90 million extension that Bridges agreed to last October, even with the cap increasing. Bridges had 160 career starts at the time of the extension, compared to 36 for Johnson. However, do not be surprised if the Johnson contract is in the four-year, $85 million range with a starting salary of $19 million. Based on a $134 million salary cap, the salary in the first year is comparable to Davis Bertans, Duncan Robinson and Marcus Morris Sr."

he bet on himself this year and if he delivers on that the rest of the year i wouldn't be surprised to see him exceed the 90m and maybe get to 20m per year. with nothing in FA this year i think they will likely extend him and claxton to big deals assuming cam j locks in his role as a starter the rest of the year.

Claxton can't be extended this off-season. The Nets may let Cam test the market and potentially just match an offer sheet. Not many teams have cap space, but the ones that do would likely prioritize spending on a young guy like Cam.

My advice, don't get used to no one on this roster.

I'm going to enjoy watching guys play who behave like professionals. If someone gets traded to improve the roster, so be it.

Dude something brewing in 2024. Something no one talking about or seeing.
This KD move just verified what Woj, Lewis and NI said. Marks here to stay and he is very close to Tsai family. We can start calling him Sean Tsai.

I've been saying that forever. Only players currently under contract in the '24 off-season are Ben and Mikal. Ben will likely be gone by then if he doesn't improve. It'll be interesting to see if the offer to re-sign Johnson.
Marks was always eyeing a reset in '24, though the '25 FA class looks like a better fit.

I think we touched on this subject day before Kyrie trade.
You right, Marks cooking something.
While I'm out, watch for HC that will be getting this gig. It'll tell a lot.
