Would be nice if we can sneak in a top 10 lotto pick for once

still a ways to go but it seems like this draft is wing heavy and there's not much separation.

Kawhi, PG, Klay, Giannis, etc. all picked around where the team could be drafting. Clearly that won't happen for Nets basketball so just hoping for a starter.

KD is out for the rest of the regular season & possibly the start of the playoffs. I feel bad for him, but I still had to look at the standings only to become disappointed to see it's highly unlikely that PHX falls to the play-in barring another catastrophe.

Hey...what's going on? I was looking at the Suns schedule and how close the races are in the west...I think it is possible they drop to 7. It's not a lock....but yeah doable. Imagine we did as well?

Ok Christmas dream scenario.

3 ping pong ball picked
1st pick Suns to Nets
2nd Houston
3rd Nets keep pick

Philly pick to Utah

I mean...you know? :D

PHX is 3-3.5 games up on GSW, DAL, Minny & LAC & would need 3 of those 4 teams to pass them in the standings with only 14-16 games left.

Similarly we're 3 up on Miami with the tiebreaker in hand.

Leonard Miller, folks. This kid is going to be a huge pick up.

I heard this kid plays with a constant motor which is always good that he will play with heart and is most likely a hard worker. Do you think he could become an all star player or more?

Cason Wallace really fits the Jrue Holiday comp. That's my guy and shouldn't need much of a trade up. Played great for UK today even though they went down.

I still don't think it will happen, but both our picks are slowly working there way towards play-in territory.

You have to assume that Marks will be very active with our picks and current players given how guard and wing heavy this draft is.

It was a great night for potentially improving our draft slots. Phoenix lost, while Minnesota, GSW, LAL and Miami won.

All the recent losses had me thinking, since we're not that good, I'd rather we root being in the lottery than get kicked out in the play-in.

So, with only 10 games to go, below are our remaining games.

vs CLE - L
@ MIA - L
@ ORL - Most likely a W (can still lose to HC)
vs HOU - W
vs ATL - Could go either way, but I'm predicting a L
vs UTA - Most likely a L
vs MIN - L (Wolves on a 2-game win streak)
@ DET - W
vs ORL - W
vs PHI - L

At worse, we'll be 4-6 and end up with a record of 43-39.

The Heat may end up at worse, 44-38 over their last 8 games (BKN, TOR, NYK, DAL, DET, PHI, WAS & ORL), which would drop us to 7th.

The Hawks will most likely finish 5-4 in their remaining games and end up at 8th with a 41-41 record.

The Raptors has 9 games left, but will keep the 9th seed as they finish 4-5 and a record of 39-43.

Over to the West, I'm really rooting for a KD-less Suns to lose. They're currently at 4th with 38-34 record, but the gap between 4th-10th is only 2 games (3 up to 12th).

They also have 10 games left and their schedule ain't easy (SAC, PHI, UTA, MIN, DEN, OKC, SAS, DEN, LAL, LAC). Except for the Spurs, each team they'll be facing is chasing for a play-off berth. They can literally go 1-9, and end up with a 39-43 record (wishful thinking). A win vs the Jazz, Wolves, Thunder, Spurs and George-less Clips, would give them a 43-39 which would tie ours.

The remaining West team's possible W/L record
LAC 44-38
GSW 44-36
LAL 43-39
DAL 42-40
OKC 42-40
MIN 41-41

So far, the lottery candidates are DET, HOU, SAS, CHA, ORL, WAS, POR, IND, CHI, NOP & UTA. Which leaves 3 slots (12th-14th). It's still possible that ours & the Suns picks lands at the lottery, at worse it will be between 15th-18th which is still a good landing spot to take potential studs who dropped from the lottery.

Note that these assumptions were based on strength of schedule.

All signs show that we will be picking in high teens. That's exactly where Taylor projected to be. This is Jonathan Isaac 2.0 with already elite jumper.

Sadly I think he will go in top 5, maybe 10 at worst. We most likely be picking from 14 and up.

I like this kid def see isacc with jumpshot which is crazy potential. Wonder how high we could move up if we packaged both our picks. Also like Anthony Black his a Josh giddy/lonzo type player be perfect for the nets give us an actually pg with size

Maybe the 7 seed isn't too bad. Host & lose 2 play-in games & then wind up with an end of lottery pick. Odds are we wouldn't be hosting more than 2 playoff games as a 6 seed anyway.
