GT: Nets @ Thunder || Tuesday 3/14/23 || 8:00 PM

Mikal Bridges plays basketball today!
Been pretty happy with the effort and results throughout this road trip. Let's end it on a positive note.
And as of now it looks like Simmons is the only one out tonight.
Anyone have any one or two things they want to look out for tonight?
I'm watching for these second unit small-ball lineups with DFS and Royce playing the front court. And maybe Noel gets more than single digits minutes, to see if he's going to stick around beyond this week?

I thought it was encouraging to see that ESPN lists Ben as a game time decision.
Edit: I just read an article dated yesterday saying he was at home with no timetable for return.

Seems doubtful Ben plays again this season. Seems like a replay of last year when the team refused to shut him down even though it was obvious(in retrospect) that he won't play.
That said it would be nice if he did as he'd just a good fit for this roster off the bench at least. Shame really.
This should be a fun game that I can see come down to the 4th Q if SGA plays. He's so good in the clutch, I'd be really worried if it did.
Both teams have been playing well defensively last few games, so won't expect a huge scoreline.

OKC is legitimately good when SGA plays. This'll be tough.
Only thing I want to see is consistency. Even during this nice little stretch, we've had too many quarters where we give up 40+ points or we score under 20. This team has too much talent on both ends for that to happen. Especially on defense.
I've really liked what I've seen from Cam Johnson but it would be nice for him to have a breakout game. His 3 ball isn't falling like it normally does. He's way too good of a shooter for that to stick.

I would like to see some off ball plays run for Cam Johnson to free him up for shots.

How many of you would want Morant here ?
Not that he’s available or anything, but his situation in Memphis looks very similar to situation we had with Kyrie after link fiasco , I can see Morant being moved or request a trade if not soon possibly in offseason
Just curious what your opinion is about him both basketball and off court , is he a head case not worth the trouble ( read Kai alike ) or is it one time thing and there is no way Memphis get rid of him ?

Sounds like he willingly went to rehab(probably a drinking problem) so I doubt he hates Memphis or anything like that.
It's gonna take something insane (like Miles Bridges/Primo) for Memphis to get rid of him and if so, no team will touch him for awhile, including Nets.
Total pipe dream atp.

This teams play is starting to grow on me.
I disagree vehemently with the direction of the team. But we are putting out a watchable product

Ja would be a marginal upgrade over Dinwiddle. He is flashy but he is not a very efficient scorer. His TS% is at 55%, which is much lower than much maligned "empty stats" scorers like Lavine, Beal, Young, and KAT.
There is a reason why MEM doesn't drop off when he is out. He is basically a taller D Rose.

Come on now. Dinwiddie and 4 picks for Morang and Memphis still says no

Cam T played pretty well despite having 0 points. Seems to be making an effort tonight to play within the offense and contribute on defense.

I’ll give you that , that MEM barely drop off without him , excellent point

Of course they would say no. Ja is 23 and can still be rehabilitated. But I am talking about his on court impact which is overrated
