4 unprotected FRPs, 1 protected FRP, 1 unprotected swap and a 2nd.

I hate the rebuild. I hate that he's a Knick. This was the Godfather deal though.

Well they picked a path.

By my count the KD trade return is now:

8 unprotected firsts:

Knicks - 25 / 27 / 29/ 31
Phoenix - 23 (clowney) / 25 / 27 / 29

2 unprotected swaps:

Knicks + Phoenix 2028

1 protected first:

Milwaukee 2025

Going to be a long couple years but with Marks making the selections and the amount of draft capital they now have, they have a direction.

The Milwaukee pick is top 4 protected, so it's very likely to convey.

I was not pro-rebuild, but this was a Godfather offer. So much cap space & so many picks available, I could still see them star hunting.

Quite a haul. Still sucks to be tanking without our pick. Houston ultimately wins this trade.

That said, I'd look at Cam Johnson offers.

Agreed. Wouldn't shock me at all if they take on some stars with big contracts.

Bridges is a great final piece/supporting piece for what Knicks have, but Nets weren't close to that. They got a lot more future value for him than I expected and they can now use present day cap space to find players to compete a little bit short term.

This might be premature. But... In Marks we trust again.

Nets fans needed this.

The silence was deafening before the trade deadline. My guy is telling me that the Knicks reached out and Marks played hardball and here we are.

Bridges is a perfect fit on the Knicks, they gave up a lot but they now have a real chance of winning the title

Wow they got their own 2025 pick back too!

Next year they own their own pick, plus NYK, plus MIL.

If this is right they gave up a lot to get those 2 picks back:

What a trade... I like it... got me wtfff... where ya think all these picks will land? 25 n 27 have to be in the mids, but 29 n 31 n pick swap have to be in the lotto, no ?

And we get to see Cam chuck his way to 35ppg and eventually tame back once the picks get settled and that champion run gets done in 2033

I sincerely believe this was the best decision for us in the long term. We know Marks drafts well and all we need is one great pick to be a franchise player.

yep. pretty much first time ever he's not just going into the next 2 drafts with his own picks plus lots of other ammo.

not sure i would have given back that many phoenix picks though.

Wow! Marks nailed it with the Nets/Rockets swaps in 2025 alone for me. But in addition to that, he fleeced the Knicks with those picks. This could easily be a three to five year rebuild but one which hopefully produce a long term winning franchise.

gonna be a little bit of an outlier here i think, i get it that maybe people are that geeked on the 2025 draft, but i wouldnt have given up all the PHO picks. hopefully they at least have the 2028 swap. they had 4 prime picks in play. distant sure, but 4 > 2.
