As of today, looks like Marks was right to trade Bridges and hang on to Cam Johnson and DFS.

Even Schroeder looks like a bargain.

Ziaire Williams was another good pickup. Dude can be elite defensive wing.

Looking at our team/roster, you've gotta be impressed with the way the players and coaches have approched this season, respect.

At the same time this roster is a best a 1st round exit.

We need to strike while the iron is hot. It's time to trade some of our vets since they are at peak value.

yea it's time to sell high. Z williams, Justin Wilson, and clowney looks like they'll be solid players for this team. I don't see anybody off limits on this team, everything is for sale.

I agree we need to make some trades. But there is a fine line between being the leagues farm team and laying the foundation and building on it. We have a substantial amount of draft capitol. Patience is key, and so is the staff. So far Jordi is looking good.

Marks gets the deals he gets because he is patient. If you force a deal that's when you get very little back.

At this point his has so many volume picks I would imagine the only thing that appeals to him are higher upside picks or quality younger players who were recent FRP but not gotten their chances at playing time yet.

I also wouldn't entirely rule out an adding trade. The Nets are very well positioned if Fox or Giannis do ask out, and Sacremento would pretty much need to move Fox by this Summer to get real value back since he's only got 1 more year under contract. No idea if this is something that would interest SAC, could swap in or out a number of pieces but value wise it feels if anything heavy.

Fox / Keon
Simmons / Zaire
Wilson / Watford
CamJ / Bogs
Clax / Clowney / Sharpe

that is a fun athletic group that defends. i cant imagine both fox/giannis hitting the market in season but if they did they are set up to swap Ben's contract and all the other picks.

more likely before giannis hits market they'd be set up to add a few more high upside wings in the draft plus a few more good supporting players in FA as i think that group would still project to have cap space next summer. They be at 97m before cap holds with the cap at 154m. maybe they'd take a run at butler in FA, but he's probably too old and probably makes it too hard to then swing a deal for giannis. but who knows.

The one thing that I don’t want to see us do anymore is a complete blow up because I don’t think we need it

We have some good cheap pieces & a coach who seems to know what he’s doing

Add some quality youngsters via the draft, wait for development of existing guys and add quality, HIGH CHARACTER vets when available

Our versions of Jrue Holiday etc is more attractive to me than Giannis as he will cost a lot, is not easy to build around and is very demanding

Fox strikes me as a potential version of our Holiday. I mean it's not impossible Schroder plays that role to some degree, he sort of is right now, though I don't expect that to last or him to be extended. Fox' contract status in the window where the Nets are the main big market team with max $ to give out and the connection to Jordi make me think he will eventually be the piece they add to a roster that will likely continue to stockpile athletic young wings.

perhaps less of a long shot is for CamT to be our version of Jamal Murray and get extended as a key piece. He's probably already on that trajectory or ahead based on stats. if he continues that this year and Schroder keeps playing at the level he is, that's probably the only way they remain in the hunt and maybe there's some thinking that they are closer to ready for a big trade than expected.

obviously the draft should also give them a shot at a potential lead guard as well, especially in the lotto with traore or harper.

i think ultimately the rest of this season is about finding that true lead guard ahead of a pursuit for Giannis that likely ramps up to a possibility in the Summer.

Per Wiretap

"Just about everybody on the roster is available"........

I'm more concerned with our picks unless we an offer we can't refuse.
