There’s small ball & then there’s mini, micro, tiny ball

We’re smaller than that

The only way we miss the play-in, in this pathetic east is going to be injury or trades smh.

Hate to root for losses and not enjoy wins, but this franchise can’t get out of it’s own way.

I find it enjoyable as we have a good coach developing players while handing guys like Kerr a beating

It’s not what we need but it’s fun

I'm more of a root for the team during the game, be fine with a loss or regret the win immediately after.

Given the disparity between East & West records, if the season ended today, the 10 seed (last play-in) in the east would be in a 3 way tie & share odds with the 7-9th picks. Currently Chicago sits at the 9th pick, but would have a 26% chance at a top 4 pick. That's have your cake & eat it too territory.

im not too worried about this team making the play-in, even in the east. unless Marks decides to push chips in to get a Giannis or something significant like that he's most likely going to be making some selling trades.

that said it's great to see the compete level.

Agree with all above, I root for them during the game and thoroughly enjoy it, but like Rich, afterwards I’m like, what have we done and at what cost?!

Not this one though, I wake up for work at 4:50, didn’t even make it to tipoff lol.

Hope Cam J is good.

Have it on DVR, may watch later tonight.

Anytime I hear "at what cost", I'm instantly reminded of this clip.

another way to look at the anti-tank benefit is that with guys like CamJ playing the way they are, if they did get traded they'd bring back more now than if they were tanking.

If they had a true firesale at the deadline (which i dont expect) camj and camt would both bring back a lot more than they would have over the summer off poor years. schroder may even bring back a distant 1st. or maybe you combine him with the philly 1st for an unprotected 2026 first from someone.

i expect they will make 1-2 selling moves (DFS + Schroder most likely) but not a full firesale because there is so little in next year's RFA/FA market, i think they will end up with CamT being the best option to park $ as a resource.

then again if SAC is still in last place and nets still play-in or better, maybe someone like Fox hits the market earlier than expected. having someone like him rostered with a big pick arsenal remaining would put them in good position for Giannis. CamT/Schroder/DFS + picks could be something that fits both sides.
