I'm not promoting a loser mentality, but the fact that we drafted 5 rookies (all FRPs), 3 sophomores, and 2 players from the 2021 class, signals that this will be a developmental year. Which would mean we'll be very bad. Tankathon on the horizon...
If we manage to end up with the worst record (which is highly possible assuming we trade CJ/Clax and play the rookies more), our worse-case draft position would be picking at #5.
Per ESPN, there are currently 4 promising upcoming freshmen that will compete for the 2026 number 1 pick. Which means, there's a high probability we'll pick one of four.
1. Darryn Peterson, PG, 6'6, 18.4yo
2. A.J. Dybantsa, SF, 6'9, 18.4yo
3. Cameron Boozer, PF, 6'9, 17.9yo
4. Nate Ament, SF, 6'11, 18.5yo
What's your take, guys? Who's your pick?
