With Randolph being on the trading block I think its a perfect oppurtonity to improve our frontcourt even though its a HUGE bet because we can all clearly see what the guy did to the Knick's chemistry(as small as it was before)
Your opinion?
Trade ideas?
Post em here.

Negative. He's the definition of a black hole. His defense is also worse than Billy Thomas' offense.

Not in any point of his basketball career did I want him or will I ever want him on this team.

20 and 10, or this year 17 and 10 is always attractive but for whatever reason Randolph is a loser, the only thing he would help this team do is lose.
Plus is he really worth giving up Jefferson or Carter for? And even if the Nets did get Randolph while keeping the big 3 chemistry would immeidately hit the **** since Zach, like I hinted at before, DOES NOT MOVE THE BALL ever.

Thorn to Isiah: Yeah, we could trade for Randolph. (Isiah extends his hand with a smile) Of course, I never would! I could, but never would. I could, but never would. (Walks away repeating) I could, but never would. I could, but never would. I could, but never would.I could, but never would.

Thorn to Isiah: I would ne-he-eh-he-eh-he-eh-he-eh-he-ever trade for Randolph.

XD!
Anyway I get the general impression is that we should pass on him, but realisticlly would you guys go against a trade for him where we only have to give Collins and Magloire who are some very nice expirings.

no f'in way, hes not the kind of player i would want on my team... way too much baggage... not enough effort... and besides, randolph and the knicks are a perfect marriage.. he honestly fits in w/what isaiah is trying to "do" in ny, which is to get a lot of players who dont care about playing team basketball, play no defense, have huge contracts, and also like to bitch and whine.... why mess that up for them?

...no
if we have to then i'd trade collins and magloire and somebody signed that would make up the difference for him straight up. other than that we don't need him. and i sure as hell wouldnt give up a first for him

I've heard/read a couple of times that Thorn really likes Chris Wilcox.
Would you do something(was offered by a Nets fan on the trade board) like this?
Chris Wilcox, Earl Watson and Damien Wilkins
for
Marcus Williams, Antoine Wright, Jamal Magliore, Jason Collins and a #1 (top 10 protected).
BTW: I don't see how Zach Randolph should ever fit a team run by Jason Kidd. Kidd is working his best with athletic bigs that can run with him and Randolph just can't do that. His contract and defensive problems are also huge problems.

^That's actually not a bad deal, but I still have to pass. We're giving up too much for Chris Wilcox

NO WAY! Hack Randolph is a BUM! Just another player worried about gettin his.
We have discussed this trade before and the chosen one (Enetric) went to great lengths to shoot this trade down. And not one thing has changed in my mind about Randolph.

wilcox isn't really a post player, kinda like sean williams without the shot blocking. tho everyone loves him i dont think he would make us a contender.

i would do any trade for randolph that doesnt include rj or vc or kidd... the character doesnt worry me(sean has been fine) and as for defensively thats an issue but with randolph we are right up there with the celtics, as we finally have a legit low post threat.

I totally agree. I would take Z-Bo, but not for any of the big 3 and our young guys. Z-Bo cant come here an act up. Too many good character veterans here for him to be an Ahole.
Collins, Mags, and a pick is cool with me, but he may be making more then that.
