Really now that leaves us with 2 options.
Rebuild or get Gasol who is the only worthwhile reamaining big man that has a chance to get traded.

Gasol is not going anywhere...

1) Grizzlies management never wanted to trade him.
2) He's backed off his trade demands.
3) He's starting to play very well again.

1)Doesnt change the fact that they are stuck in no mans land, if they'll get a chance to rebuild/ contend they'll do it in a second.

2)As a PR move he'll still agree to a trade that can get him somewhere like NJ or Chicago/

3)See #1

i don't see any major trades happening so we'll end up riding out the season and see where krstic gets us, then thorn will be able to make a clear assessment of the team. if we decide to blow it up, expect us to be the focal point of many draft day trades.

I will admit that we can get over this slump if we get rid of that polititian Frank but thats not gonna happen so as I said, get Gasol or start rebuilding.

I'm sad to say this is where this Nets team now is. Only we're in the East where we'll still land in the playoffs.

I like VC, so don't call me a VC hater. i just perfer RJ.
how come? RJ is a hustler and a team player. He gives us 20 points every night, he plays great defense, and can run the floor. VC is lazy, he doesn't care about the team, and he rarely runs the floor. plus RJ is younger. if the other team didn't care who they would get, rj or vc, i give up vc.

i like RJ too but I think VC is better. When RJ gets the ball he usually either takes a jumper, drives and makes a layup, or drives and flails his arms to dirve and draw a foul. But a lot of times when he flails his arms, which he does a lot, there is no call and he turns the ball over. I think he looks for the foul too much instead of trying to finish. RJ also doesnt make a lot of plays for his teammates. VC finishes around the rim better and makes more plays for his teammates. Dont get me wrong, I like both guys, but the way RJ plays pisses me off sometimes. VC also brings more money in and it is a business.

Yes RJ eiher takes the jumper or drives to the hole, VC either takes the jumper or... takes the jumper. About the fouls, RJ goes to the line more times a game then anyone else in the league. That is very good, easy points because he usually makes the shots. RJ makes a lot of plays for his teammates. He is a very good passer. VC is too so i don't think theres much of a difference. About the finishing around the rim, VC used to finish around the rim a loooong time ago. RJ finishes around the rim. he drives there more than vince does.

Winning brings in business too. The way we are know, doesn't matter who is on the team, the team playing like cr*p makes it nearly impossible to watch. No way I'm paying $, time to actually go attend one of these travesties of a game.

RJ is good in playoffs.
VC is not so good in playoffs.

My big problem with VC's game face right now is he's trying to play like Kidd. Pass first, pass fast, rack up assists, rebound, take set perimeter shots. Sorry VC, there is such thing as too much of a good thing. 2 Kidd's on the team is 1 too much.

well then we agree to disagree. Like i said, I like both guys but i just think VC is more valuable to the team.

WHOA! TIMEOUT!

Jefferson's defense is frustratingly average. He just got abused by Corey Maggette Saturday night (I'm sorry, I should have said COREY FREAKING MAGGETTE!), and regularly gets WORKED by the bigtime SFs in this league. Honestly, IMO defense is what is seperating him from being an elite SF in his own right; he's not quite a Caron Butler type All-Star, but he's still a top 10 SF.

You can dog Carter's attitude all you want; I agree, his is not the ideal type of mentality you want out of your All-Star shooter. Carter doesn't always jet down the floor like Jefferson, but I contend that that has more to do with Frank's direction (for Carter to be a set-up man for our offense), than purely his lack of effort. You can't run the break every time if you're relied upon at times to bring the ball up the court and start the offense.

I'm probably the biggest VC apologist on this board, and it's fine if you filter my opinion in light of this. But I really think Carter's departure is the last thing we need right now.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Even though maggete was 11/15 from the field, he is a very good offensive player. He is averages 20 a game and he's shooting 45 percent. And to be fair he wasn't guarding him all game :D eu has played great d all season.

when RJ is not a game time decision lol he plays better.

hes can play great D , but it sucks because hes already the #1 scoring opt on offense.......and when ppl do score on him its usually cuz hes injured or something. still his defense i think got worse since his earlier days, but he can still play with the best of them, if he had some scoring help besides VC, he wouldn't have the offensive load, you see ppl droppin 30+ pts on guys like lebron too. vc too.

I'm sorry but Corey Maggette would have abused anyone that night shooting the rock the way he did.
