Jason Collins and Jamaal Magloire are becoming more valuable around the league by the day, and it has nothing to do with their basketball skill!

The truth is, many teams are looking to unload quality veteran bigman in exchange for the cap relief that our pair of bigmen would provide. Two specific examples stick out to me from fielding Trades forum offers, and I'd like to know how our fans feel about them. These are deals that have been mutually agreeable, and don't involve any of our youngsters. They are:

Sacramento - Miller for Collins, Magloire and a NJ 1st-rounder

and

Chicago - Wallace, Gray, Curry, Nichols and a CHI 2nd-rounder for Collins, Magloire and Nachbar

those young guys won't help us now and the point of the trade is to win now, so i go with the sacramento trade. also i don't want any part of ben wallace's contract. we would be in cap hell for the next 5 years.

The hyperlink text got cut out of the CHI deal, but they would sweeten the deal with a 2nd-rounder coming to us. Pretty nice.

Still, I prefer the Sacramento option, even though it costs us a pick instead of giving us one. Brad is having a nice year, and his deal is smaller than Wallace's, who's living a nightmareright now that I don't wish to share. Also, although Ben would cut into Boone's and Sean's minutes, and not provide much different (except less offense). Brad is a legit 7-footer whose offense complements our young bigmen's defense.

I absolutely refuse to give up a 1st ROUND DRAFT PICK at this point. We are not going to take the same road as the Knicks.

My vote is for neither, but if I had to take one I guess I'd go with Wallace because of the pick.

Ben Wallace fo sho.

Imagine Sean learning from Ben Wallace? Add them playing together currently and you have one of the worst offensive frontcourts but impossible to score on.
