NBA draft 2008

Post#1 » by is1531 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:58 pm

Has anybody seen Rider's Jason Thompson play a game this season. He is 6ft 10" and one publication has him going 16th in the 2008 draft.Could you tell me what you think of him?

I don't want another forward. We need a actual center who is above 7 foot but is tough and plays down low. We also need a shooting gaurd too but as long as we have Vince and Wright, we are good.

i'm ALL for deron washington... he's the closest thing to k-mart i'm sure he'll bulk up in the nba.. but his style of play fits perfectly with kidd... and he is more energized then any of our draft picks since k-mart.... and he also has a carmelo type feel to him

Deron also has a low basketball IQ, a bad temper, and shoddy leadership skills.

IDK, I wouldn't mind taking a 2nd-round flyer on a player with absolutely top-shelf athleticism like Washington, but I also wouldn't mind alot of other swingmen that figure to land in the 2nd round (Roby, Foster etc.).

But about Thompson, he sounds legit, but not what we need. Especially since he'd make the 3rd 1st round pick in a row spent on a PF/C. Of the guys probably available around our pick (11-17), I could go for Nicolas Batum (if he drops), Davon Jefferson and Tyler Smith. Obviously, if a Mayo or Hibbert were still around, I'd snatch them up.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

picks for our range (12-17)

Hasheem Thabeet (7'3" UConn), Danilo Gallinari (6'9" Euro), or Davon Jefferson (6'8" athletic SF from USC) IMO
