I am not a huge Nets fan but I do like RJ and Kidd... I have watched a handful of your games and it appears you have the talent but simply continue to lose... Why not ship Kidd & Carter for younger pieces and rebuild before you move to Crooklyn... Kidd has value now and feature Carter for a move over the summer...

hes 27, hes gonna be in his prime soon enough.
he probably wants to go with a playoff-bound team. not rebuild, you can't even use him to rebuild hes too old.

Looks like age may finally be catching up to the Nets. Rod Thorn is going to determine his own value over the next 12 months through the decisions he makes.

Until a major rebuild team will never contend for even a conference championship, no matter what minor moves or even coaching moves are made. Even getting into the playoffs looks rather stretch.

Like this, there's no reason to keep Kidd on. He'll keep trying to make the playoffs, which will only hurt lottery draft positioning.

From what I've read everyone is giving us low ball offers for J Kidd. We don't have to move him just because he supposidly wants to be moved. If nothing worth our while is offered now or over the summer. We could let him play out next season and let him walk.

Whatever change can be made, the sooner the better. Perhaps with a quick tear-down the team will be on the way up by the time the Brooklyn moves happens. Right now the team is walking dead hovering at .500, and will take a hit whenever Kidd leaves -- either now or when his contract is up. But the way the team is executing it's hard to see how it can be uglier, and without Kidd we'll have higher lottery pick. Practically thinking, I don't it's reasonable to expect "fair" value -- Kidd is not underpaid, he's a max player with a year and half left. Thinking we'll get a top prospect like Bynum is a greedy stretch -- getting longshot prospects and draft picks, and some expiring filler is more likely.

The Nets have fallen low. I won't talk to non-basketball fans about watching the Nets anymore. Some work friends who are casual basketball fans, who I talked into watching the Nets 3 or 4 years ago, now tell me the Nets put them to sleep, so they watch the Knicks instead. That gets me right in the throat ... but it's true. Knicks are much more watchable than Nets. No matter, I'll still always root for the Nets to win and the Knicks to loose.

Well....i'm a big j-kidd and nets fan.I just love watching him play.He is still my favorite player.That's why my nickname is kidd007.But i think it would be better for him to get traded to a contender.This guy deserves a ring and the nets organization can't afford it anymore.So, if he wants out, do it.At this point, i think it would be better for both the Nets and Jason Kidd.

well...I dunno if I let him walk, but I agree, you dont have to trade just because he requests it...as G said, it doesnt surprise me at all...

major point is...even though a player is demanding a trade doesnt mean we cannot get fair trade value in return...teams know what Jason Kidd can do on the court and how he probably can duplicate this year's numbers or close to it over the next two seasons...thus, the Nets Org. should hold their ground in trade talks and not let themselves get pushed around in negotiations...if you can get the right one done...you do it...

but there's always a NBA draft trade, I would always consider waiting till then and seeing what type of offers you get...I believe Thorn will get the right trade done...either now or later...or not at all...

But the reason Kidd told Nets management that it's not Frank's fault is because he doesn't want them to think a coaching change will save them. He wants them to know that it's just flat out not working because he wants out.
