You should be able to get better players then that for Kidd.

Mayo is a train wreck he is trouble I would stay away from him.

None of those players are any good and both the picks will be late round picks

But the money coming off the books, plus the picks, are extremely necessary for a player like Kidd in order to successfully rebuild.

I see Jameer Nelson being dealt before Cook.

I don't like the picks you made (and is that Elton Brand at PF?) but I do like the trade. The Nets need to rebuild. This trade would jumpstart that effort by clearing salary and adding a few picks and prospects.

Kidd's value is not going up. Offers aren't going to get better. There is no reason to wait and delay the rebuild. The longer the Nets wait to trade Kidd, the longer it will take to rebuild. Same goes for Carter. Start now and aim to return to form right after the team moves to Brooklyn.
