Pretty sad. One of the best point guards can't make this team work when he should have 2 all star callibre swing men on his team and some decent role players. It all comes down to Vince Carter. Thats 2 organizations he's caused to go downhill. Hopefull once he's gone things will turn around for you guys.

It's not all on VC, Frank and management have been the main problems. We never bought into Frank's crappy coaching and we never traded one of our wings for a legit bigman.

disagree with that statement. Kidd was excited when VC got here. They played well with each other. I honestly think it's Frank and management.. Instead of going public and saying fire the coach, he wants a change of scenery. They're not willing to spend the money to put their best product on the floor, the move to Brooklyn held up this franchise.
Actually if NJ didn't make the move for VC, Kidd would've left long ago....

I couldn't disagree with you more. Whoever you are, I don't think much of you. VC put the Raps on the map, and came onto a struggling Nets team via a Thorn magic trick and helped turn them around. This is a ridiculous statement. VC has NEVER played on a team with a legit bigman, NEVER. Unlucky for him. Guys can't stop taking swings at him now. "Analysts" who haven't watched Nets or Raps games at all just running away with a stereotype. After all is said and done, VC has been injured, and the entire Nets team has been injured for the past year and a half, what do you expect?? When KG misses a game because of an abdominal strain he is a hero, but when VC misses a few for a torn ligament in his ankle, he is a whimp... what the hell is wrong with you!

Whoever I am? I am a person with an opinion such as yourself. "I do not think much of you". LOL. Not claming to be someone to know it all or anything like that. Ive watched Vince play for many years and this season seems very similar to his last with the Raptors and not to mention he has played with no energy for you guys. Im aware he's had his share of injury problems. Thats one thing but even when healthy it seems like he plays with no drive or passion. Doesnt that bother you as a Net fan? Do you enjoy him laughing with Warrior players after blowing the game? Was he injured against the Raptors last season in the playoffs? Cuz he showed up for that series. He showed up to get paid this offseason. Kidd must be so frustrated to be playing with a guy who could play so much better. That was my point. Vince played with decent big men. Not every good player has the luxury of playing with Shaq, Duncan, and whoever else.
Also please do not mention KG and Vince in the same sentence. KG is a warrior, Vince has been injury prone his fault or not. He's admitted to not working out during summer as well. So maybe it is his fault.

I agree with what you said. They played good when he first arrived but now his play has noticably regressed. He teased J-kidd for a couple seasons and now has fallen off.

Living in Toronto I hear this crap everysingle day. First of all the only decent big man Carter had in his entire career was Antonio Davis. Second of all I read your first post about Vince bringing two franchises downhill...When Vince got to Toronto we were an expansion team that nobody cared about and we were playing out of the freakin sky dome. Vince put us on the map and brought us to every single playoff appereance in franchise history except for one. And who was it that eliminated us last year???? Vince. When vince got to new jersey they were well below .500 and the playoffs seemed like a pipe dream. Vince rallied them into the playoffs in a season that included a 41 point outburst in Toronto with all of you ppl booing him as he hit the game winner.

Back on track..
Anyone who says anything about Vince its bashing. Not bashing at all. Your right one player does not blow a game but its sure frustrating to see a player with VC's talent stand on the outside doing nothing, passing to Antoine Wright. He's gotten way too passive, watch any videos of him during his first few years. This new Vince is an imposter.

Oh my god. Yes he did good things for Toronto but there was also a bad side to his tenure there as well. You can't even acknowledge his part in the downfall of that team when he was there? I also said Vince played great in the playoffs last season. So where is that drive now? He had to show up against his old team.
Classic case of a Vince Carter fan not a Raptor fan.

The downfall of that team was management. Bringing in new coaches every year and horrible draft decisions (drafting araujo over jameer nelson and andre igoudala). Vince simply lost the passion to play for toronto. I hated watching it just as much as any other fan did. Do i condone it? no. but i do understand it. As for his time in new jersey he has played at a high level for the most part except for this season where he is barely averaging above 20 ppg but the man will be 31 in 3 days he was bound to slow down eventually.

Okay so whats the excuse this season? He's lost passion to play for you guys as well? Obviously he's slowed down a bit but its obvious the effort hasn't been there during the losing streak. Management made bad decisions up there with the Alvin, JYD, Hakeem, Davis signings but who were they doing it for? Vince. Anyway like I said not here to "bash". Just sad to see because you would think anyone would want to give their all every night along one of the best PG's ever Jason Kidd.

Yes, that's right, to say VC is the downfall of two entire franchises is ludicrious. He has played very well for the Nets until this season, and he has been plagued with an ankle injury. I'm not sure how "summer workouts" can help you against a freak accident... but wait, you probably don't even know how VC sprained his ankle with statements like 'he didn't workout during the summer', I can see you really follow Nets games closely... this is comical... THE NETS HAVE THE WORST FRONTCOURT IN THE NBA, you don't win with this, it's a miracle the Nets have done so well with what they have, I guess with VC, RJ, and Kidd miracles can happen... wait wait... JASON COLLINS HAS BEEN OUR STARTING CENTER FOR FREAKIN' SAKE!!
There is a difference between critisism, cynicism, and BASHING. And for that matter, ridiculous and inaccurate statements. I am probably as pissed as anyone else is with the Nets play, even with VC's, but I understand why, it's not about heart, "warrior" etc, it's about poor management, poor coaching, poor frontcourt, injured players = nets demise. Bottom line.

I don't blame Kidd but I wished he would have kept it between him and managment. This wasn't very classy especailly we put up with his bull around the trade deadlines and his contract extension.
We fired a coach, hired and traded players just to please him and now him speaking out looses the value we might have gotten if he would have not said anything at all.

I take back "I don't think highly of you", nothing personal.
