Damn, my favorite players always get snubbed for their respective "All-Star" games. First Kerry Rhodes two seasons in a row and now RJ. :banghead:

Feel exactly the same way....

The only guy I feel doesn't deserve to be there is joe johnson, josh smith should have been on there instead of him...

East is small. I was wondering why East has no reserve center .. and I finally realized Bosh was slotted as a center.

I didn't see Joe Johnson from Hawks on the team ,,, Josh Smith was the man last time we played the Hawks and Johnson was nothing.

I'm sad but not surprised RJ missed it. I love RJ and all, but In addition to the poor team record, I just don't see an all star in his play for the past 2 months. He seems mentally or physically wearing down by injuries or fatigue or losing or whatever. At the beginning of the season, when he was hitting all his FTs and was really energized and confident I was sure this would be his all-star year.

I don't think any of the Nets deserve to be an All-Star this year.

I think RJ's been the most consistent Nets player this year (followed by....Boone...) but RJ had a bad few weeks on both ends of the court while the two Washington picks (Caron & Antwan) picked it up.

I'm not sure about the Joe Johnson selection though. He's been very inconsistent with the Hawks this year and he's shooting an awful 41% from the field. I think Josh Smith & Marvin Williams & Al Horford have been nice semi-surprises for that team this year.

Bias as a Raptor fan also but I think Calderon is deserving this year (over Joe Johnson as a guard...)
Hedo was in tough (like RJ) in the F position.
D-Wade voted in & playing strong still but that's gotta be embarassing with the Heat's record.

You have to consider Pierce is on a team that is purely numbers wise is having one of the best starts in franchise history...Boston Celtics franchise history.....this may be more a reflection on how poor the quality of the NBA is these days but still you can't deny that when seeing how crap the Nets have been.

Joe Johnson is in the Guard position, while RJ is Forward so I don't they compete that way plus Atlanta has a better record then the Nets are I guess "need" one representation of the Hawks on the All-Star team. Nets arguably don't deserve one...let alone two...

If i had to pick a player from Atlanta it would have been Josh Smith and not Joe Johnson. I don't understand that pick .

does the team's record really matter?i mean we saw t-mac play All-Star games with the magic (when they sucked) and when houston was also crap in 2006.Oh yeah, that T-Mac was far better than this Jefferson but isnt RJ better than Pierce? (Despite Celts record...)

I don't really think RJ got snubbed, the Nets overall play just fell off too drastically in recent weeks...

As much as I really really wanted Jefferson to make the all-star team, that dream faithed and faithed every time the NETS lost a game. No way the Nets were gonna have 2 all stars with their record, that was just fact.

Jefferson is a borderline allstar that everyone love. Rhodes is the best safety in the league two years running and no one seems to recognize it. He should have been a DPOY candidate this year.

yeh the only way you make the allstar team when your team has bad record, is sick numbers (top 3 or leading the league in various categories...or being voted on)

I don't mind RJ not making it. I agree with JJ, him making it means we need a better record.

Also Kerry Rhodes is definetly a top 3 safety IMO and deserved to be in the Pro Bowl at least either this year or last year, but the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest, so oh well. And isn't he the alternate safety this year?
