VC trades

Post#1 » by kidd007 » Sun Feb 3, 2008 1:32 am

I think these following trades could help us:
NJN get:C.Mobley,Maggette,T.Thomas
LAC get:Carter,Magloire,Wright
or
NJN get:Artest,Garcia,K.Thomas
SAC get:Carter,Magloire
or
NJN get:Terry and Stackhouse
DAL get:Carter and Armstrong
Another trade to improve, would be with memphis for Mike Miller. We give them 3 expiring contracts(Mags,Wright,Nachbar) and a protected 1st(top 15).
Other suggestions? what do you guys think?

I have no problem dealing Carter, but since any Carter trade will be a downgrade talent wise, I'm not going to take back bad contracts such as Mobley/T. Thomas, K. Thomas and Stackhouse.

RJ makes more sense to Utah, with us getting AK-47 back.

I'm not a fan of either of these teams, but here's a trade I think makes sense.

NJ/CHA

Richardon + Carroll = Carter + Wright

Incoming Players
Antoine Wright
6-6 SG / SF from Texas A&M
7.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.6 apg in 26.7 minutes

Vince Carter
6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina
20.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 5.1 apg in 38.5 minutes

Outgoing Players
Matt Carroll
6-6 SG from Notre Dame
8.2 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 23.1 minutes

Jason Richardson
6-6 SG from Michigan State
20.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.1 apg in 37.7 minutes

The nets definately improve with this trade. Richardson is pretty close to Carter offensively, but is a much better defender. Carroll gives you a three point shooter off the bench.

The Bobs get Carter, who will at least help them sell tickets. Perhaps this summer they could sign Jamison.
A lineup of Felton/Carter/Wallace/Jamison/Okafor would be sweet.

:o :o :o

First of all, we don't want Vince Carter. We could have signed him in the offseason when he was a free agent. Secondly, JRich is not a good defensive player. So if you say he's much better than Carter, then Vince has to be the worst defensive player in the history of the NBA.

And Vince Carter leading us into last place is not selling any tickets. Winning sells tickets. Jamison will sign here if we clear enough money.

Well if you could have signed him, you should have. I think everyone would agree, they would have rather had Vince in the offseason last year, then to give up the 8th pick in the draft for Richardson and his contract, which isn't much better. The reality is, you couldn't have got Vince, b/c he wanted to go back to NJ.

if he were to play back in NC, Vince might be re-motivated at least for a while. Put him with a bunch of ol' Tar heel boys, and your tema just miught find some chemistry. Lastly, this deal does clear about half the value of Carroll's contract, which could help you sign a FA in the offseason- a la Jamison.

You could be right about Richardson's defense however.

You guys will never get VC, because like all the other Hall of Famers that critizes the way VC plays, MJ was the first to point out how he was an underachiever.
