What moves do you think NJ needs to make before the deadline, I think we're all in agreement we need some type of shooter. Post your ideas for obtaining such a player.

Players in mind:

Kareem Rush
Mike Miller
Salim Stoudamire
Matt Carroll
Daequan Cook
JJ Redick
Rasual Butler
JR Smith
Gordan Giricek

NJ/IND Trade - http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=4532637 -- We add a 1st rounder?

NJ/MEM Trade - the rumored deal for Magloire + Nachbar for Miller, doesn't work.. I don't see any other pieces we could add that would make sense.

NJ/CHA Trade - Carroll is a BYC player, so it would be difficult.

NJ/ORL Trade - Nachbar for Redick straight up. I'd be hesitant here, better to keep Boki?

NJ/ATL Trade - Being an Arizona fan, Stoudamire is a dangerous shooter (ala Eddie House) ... Atlanta is stockpiled with PGs, so Stoudamire could likely be dealt. He's undersized (SG in PG's body) but I could see him being that Eddie House type role.

I really like J.R. Smith but how do we get him ?. I know many say he is a cancer in any team but he has shown flashes and i think he would be great as a 6th man he can drive it in and can shoot the ball. He has been incosistent because Karl dosen

I agree completely. This team desperately needs a legit shooter/scorer off the bench. Nachbar is streaky and bad on defense. We need a legit weapon would can come in and add some instant offense when RJ or VC are on the bench. (KORVER WOULD STILL BE PERFECT).

1 - Mike Miller - Lights out shooter, good versatility. Hes a legit NBA starter and he would probably give us the deepest bench in the NBA.

2 - Michael Pietrus - He isn't a great pure shooter, but he has good range and is better then we currently have. Tremendous athlete who would add that dimension to the bench also. Good on defense and on the break.

3 - JJ Reddick - He hasn't shown much in the pros but there is no denying the guy is a lights out shooter in every way. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs. He is a 1 trick pony though.

4 - Salim Stoudamire - I would basically put him in the same boat as Reddick. A little bit of a 1 trick pony and unproven. I would prefer to get a little more of a dynamic player for the bench.

5 - Francisco Garcia - Don't know if he is available, but the Kings could use some big bodies (maybe expirings?) and they are pretty set deep at the G/SF position. He would be the perfect player for the bench.

Overall my 2 favorite/realistic names on this list are Garcia and Pietrus. Both are young and dynamic scorers who can back up both SG and SF. They would instantly add scoring to the bench and in the future replace VC or RJ if necessary. I would be willing to trade Boki, Swift, Magloire, and the Dallas 1st round pick this year for the 3 good players on this list. For Reddick and Stoudamire Nachbar should be good enough.
