Blatant double standard in treatment of Swift and new Nets

When Stromile Swift was acquired, he was out of uniform for he first several games, then he was allowed to play garbage minutes only for a couple games, before finally getting a sniff of meaningful playing time...

He has done nothing for the Nets but play well in his limited opportunity.

Two days after being acquired, Trenton Hassell and DeSagana Diop are getting on the court for the Nets... Stromile Swift is nowhere to be found...

What's the deal?

Yep, you're right it was buried in the game notes

http://www.nba.com/nets/news/notes.pdf

Didn't see any mention of Stromile in the yahoo recap or the njnets.com news story on the game.

So... what about the fact that Stromile was not allowed to suit up for his first several games and was given only garbage mnutes for several games...?

Lawrence Frank wanted him to learn the "MOTION OFFENSE" playbook

For some reason Frank had a man-crush with Malik Allen . :banghead: :banghead: God I'm glad he and Wright are gone .

How about Hassell and Diop?

Hassel played because we needed someone to backup Vince for some minutes . And he go extended minutes becauses he looked good out there .

Diop only got playing time becauses Sean once again wasn't able to avoid foul trouble .

I'm not really buying it... when Stromile was first acquired Nachbar was getting minutes at PF...

Frank could have gone with Armstrong and Williams in the backcourt while Hassell and Diop sat out so they could learn the plays the way Stromile had to...

I think frank has a vendetta against atheletic players

Because Trenton Hassell was our only backup SG/SF off the bench... Swift has Boone, Krstic and Williams in front of him. He also had Malik Allen ahead of him before he was traded...

This is one of the few cases Frank can't be blamed...

Frank has used Nachbar at the 4 way before we acquired Swift...

I wish people would realize that Stromile Swift isn't really gonna get us over the hump. I'd rather give Boone, Williams, Krstic and even Diop playing time over Swift...

Swift will get his turn, stop crying. As i stated on Nets daily, i would LOVE for an opponent to try and small ball against us. Put in Swift and SWAT with Devin "Mickey Mouse" Harris, Richard Jefferson, and of course, Half Man/Show up Half the Time and let the high flying act that is the NEW New Jersey Nets begin.

GO NETS
