Post#1 » by ItsaVC3 » Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:35 pm

One is that this team has been playing good without kidd
Two carter and jefferson has been playing there tails off since the kidd trade they have been playing great with williams at point.
Three i really enjoy watching this team play without kidd and i cant wait for harris to come and the Future of this team

Well, seeing that the starting point guard(until devin gets back) is just an idiot fat kid with potential and not some disgruntled millionaire that spends his free time cold clocking women, I don't think any of us are shocked that this team is playing good.

The future is bright, but the one thing im worried about right now is that Half Man/Half show up when he wants too needs some assistance off the bench!!! He'll be done by April if we dont pick up at least a shooter or someone off the bench to help

Agree Carter obviosly can't play 40 mins per Game , Ager doesn't seem like a solution.

There are playing harder now. My worries that I have now are VC minutes and the turnovers. With Devin they maybe will play both PG at the same time with RJ during the game in order to limit VC minutes.

I woudn't put too much into our victories just yet. We played pre-trade Bulls and a Pacer team we lost to already. The crowd seems more into it as we seem like underdogs each game now. It somehow feels more fun to watch, just not as exciting waiting for Kidd to find VC or RJ slashing. Our team has some tough games in the next few weeks. Should be good to evaluate our current and future plans watching those games especially with Harris returning.

We are underdogs, and that's the beauty of it all. Those tough games, win or lose, will build character for this team....i hope

I didn't find too much of anything exciting about Kidd going through the motions this season, quitting on the team mid season, and bringing the entire team down with his horrible attitude, but each to his own. I love what we've got brewing here

Ager isn't getting minutes because he is probably still trying to grasp the offense, in the limited time he's been on the floor he's shown a good stroke

only thing iv notice is that we have 3 straight games with 100 points and have scored at least 50 at half time, but im not getting hyped up like most of you are because when we lose most of you go blaming just about everybody.

LOL it's funny that as soon as Kidd leaves us, every Nets fan starts to refer to him as the 'wifebeater'. But when he was here, he was just Mr. Kidd.

And I like what VCRJKidd15 said. That's something to get exited about.

I think the biggest thing that has helped this team is the freedom they all got when all expectations were traded away with Kidd. When they were "the big 3" they were supposed to be a force. With Jason Kidd as his PG Vince Carter was supposed to play better then he ever did before. As a third option RJ was supposed to thrive. But that didn't happen. As the Nets failed to live up to expectations pressure increased on the whole team EXCEPT Kidd. He has done so much for the better of this team we all simply couldn't look at him and see that maybe he was part of the problem (just this season that is). Now that he is gone the guys on this team can go back to playing basketball.

Also this team is still talented (by Eastern conference standards). The big 3 were good enough to win 49 games a few years ago. Kidd was obviously here for that, however you can't tell me in the East that trading Kidd for Harris we can't still manage to go a little over .500.

Am I the only one that wants us to miss the playoffs and get a lottery pick this season?

I wouldn't mind a lottery pick either, but whatever happens happens! As long as he who blackens the eyes of models is far away from this team, i'm happy, they look like a team again.
