for nenad krstic to get himself together?

he looks like a d-league scrub out there. like physically he should be fine, how much F**king longer is this gonna go on.... we can't compete in the playoffs without him, if we even make it.

why does he start? we should sit him so he has more "focus"/drive/passion to get back to his old self.

LETS GO

Don't think he'll get back in shape this season. I think he'd need a real brakeout game to build upon but dunno if/when if happen this season .

dude he sucks.... i think i could do a better job playing PF for the friggin nets.

why not start swift, so sean gets more minutes, or insert sean back in the starting lineup, because krstic is a WASTE OF MINUTES. if he can't do well in practice, who thinks hes gonna do good in games? hes contributing greatly to the losses.

I think Frank hopes once he gets it going its going to carry over but he hasn't hat it going yet ......

Sadly he looks worse with every game since the All-Star Break :(

^^^thats disgraceful. its amazing you have people on here ready to kill me over jokes about jason kidd or calling Marcus an idiot, but we have people wishing physical harm on Krstic and no one says anything. tsk tsk!!

Anyway, yeah i agree, Krstic is basura. I'd bench him for Diop, and shave his minutes in half so Sean can continue to get some burn, he is worthless right now, the jump shot has gone the way of the dinosaur and the dodo!! If you ask me, Diop being resigned is a far better investment than putting any kind of significant money into this kid. Its a shame, but thats the nature of the business.

^^ Yeah, I have to agree with MrDollarBills on this one. That's just stupid of you to say that...

Keep him playing, who cares if we make the playoffs this year? We're most likely gonna lose in the first round so why not A) Get Nenad back to his game by continuing to play him this year and B) Get a lotto pick

I'm a believer that if you don't make any progress in the postseason then what's the point in getting there when you can get a high quality pick and build for the next year.

Edit: Who cares about this year, we should really just be building for next season.

Did you actually WATCH the Nets before this season?

Do you have any idea of how crucial a guy like Krstic is to this team?

A 7-footer who is cheap and who will likely be resigned long-term this summer for nothing because of his injury status, and who averaged 16-7 last year for us?

If healthy, Nenad Krstic is our BEST low post player offensively, our BEST interior passer, and has more basketball IQ than Williams, Swift, Boone and Diop combined.

Either you didn't follow the Nets before Krstic was injured, or you have the basketball knowledge of a 5 year old girl.

And, by the way.

We can't compete in the playoffs PERIOD, with or without a healthy Krstic. At this point, the New Jersey Nets are an afterthought, and I'll be amazed if we win more than one or two games in a playoff series.

And knowing that, maybe it's not a bad idea to give our YOUNG, CHEAP, TALENTED 7 FOOT CENTER a little time to play in game situations and get his confidence back for next season?

He's right , all of our other bigs don't have a real offensive game . We need Krstic , inserting him and hoping for the best isn't a bad idea .

Especially when we aren't going anywhere this season.

netsforever brings up a solid point.....maybe we should try and start these games off FEEDING Krstic in the paint and let him get some shots off. We need the guy to generate points in the paint. If he can do that and make the defense respect him that will open things up.

EIf he is gonna get minutes, he needs to be fed the ball in positions where he can be effective. The jumper is not falling so its time for Krstic to get inside and get physical.

Yeah right we need more inexpiereced bigs without a polished offensive Game . It's not like 10-15 Pts scoring bigs are available in the Mid-first round.

We need wings look at our depth sheep , we need someone off the bench who can actually hit a shoot ...

Yeah, great idea.

Let's waste a draft pick on ANOTHER big man.

And we're going to draft a 16-7 player at our draft spot?

But no, you're right.

Those type of players grow on trees.

How many centers in this league put up those numbers?

5.

5 centers put up those numbers. And we're going to find ANOTHER one?
