Devin's Defense

First I'll start off by saying that this kid has really impressed me in the first two games. I like his slashing abilities and his quickness. They say he's a great defender and I couldn't help but notice that it seems like he can't get around any pick. It's well known that he's a big time flopper and I've noticed that too. I thought it was odd that someone who is known for quickness and defense can't get around a single pick. Just throwing my two cents of the day out there.

could be a combination of things. I still don't think he's back to 100%. His cutting could be limited due to the ankle sprain still. I also think his adrenaline is still running a bit high since he's trying to impress (and he has) everyone involved in the NJ organization. A few more games under his belt and we'll really see what he can do. One thing is for sure, he should be the starting PG NOW.

His D was questionable last night, even if it was against a guy as quick as parker. He got burned, pick or not. Then Boone got burned immediately after.

Who knew this kid could shoot though?

I think it's the fact that he didn't play for like a month prior to the last two games. Devin is quick as hell but he's still not in game shape.

Yeah i remember watching him pant all the way back to the bench after his first few minutes in the bucks game. I hate having to be patient. This is why i play nba 2k8.

Harris, as you've probably heard by now, is extremely fast/quick and because of this, he's a very good defender and your ace in the hole against guys like Tony Parker, Barbosa, Ellis, AI, who cause gargantuan problems for a lot of teams with their quickness. He can either beat you to where you want to go and draw a charge then add some extra english to get the call (where all the flopping accusations are coming from) or just keep you in front of him as best as he can. Don't expect him to fight through picks or play post defense though.

I noticed this too, he gets burned on picks so badly, I question those saying hes one of the best pg defenders in the game.

he's probably one of the best in the open floor. But he doesn't try his hardest once the screen comes and just allows the switch. someone needs to tell he needs to get around the screens because for all his poitning and comunicating, you can't depend on boone to guard TP. With parker, he coulda just went right under the screen because you'll take his jump shot over him getting into the paint.
