A quick question to the Nets fans...

Is the pick the Nets got from the Mavs unprotected? Just wondering because it's looking like there is a chance the mavs may not make the playoffs. Thanks.

According to draftexpress.com it is. The 2010 pick isn't lottery protected though =D!

30 teams - 8 eastern conference playoffs teams - 8 western conference playoff teams = 14 teams in the lottery.

How are you going to lead the tank-train if you can't recall these basic facts -_-...

If the Mavs miss the playoffs this year, the pick stays with them and then get a 2009 unprotected pick.

I think the 2010 pick the Mavs traded is still in 2010 no matter if the Mavs make the playoffs this year or not.

I don't know I think I read somewhere it does shift to 2011 because you're not allowed to trade picks in consecutive years... Not sure about this though...
