Hopefully the Nets don't make Wally Szcieiracbiak look like he's an all-star tonight.

my friend had an extra ticket and asked me to go but with the way the nets have been playing lately i didnt even want to go. Drive for an hour to watch Lebron score 35 points and the nets lose by 30.. no thanks.

Back home again.

With LBJ in town there'll be a good crowd.

I have no expectations. But showing up would be a big improvement.

Go Nets!!!

Watch LeBron torch us, if it's not him I can just imagine LeBron kicking it out to Wally draining 3's all game.

I don't see us winning, besides I'd rather have the good draft positioning.

LeBron is going to get his. He's too good not too and the Nets defense has not shown it can stop anyone.

That being said the NBA for the most part is won by teams so the Nets do have a frontcourt of Varejo / Joe Smith and Wallace to deal with esp. on the boards. I think Big Z is out which will be a great help for the Nets.

Guys like Damon Jones / Wally World will feed off of LeBron's ability to breakdown defenses and the Nets have been very poor in rotating off help defense so this is another concern.

Cav's are starting to get into playoff stretch groove and the Nets have looked like Abrams Battle Tank since post-Magic game. VC has had some success vs LeBron's Cavs over the years but he's been on a major funk and needs to have a good game if Nets are to stay competitive. RJ is right that Boone needs to be on the boards & play some tougher defense even if his offense is not there. Krstic / Boone FC imo is still to soft to start a game & set a tone but Frank believes in it.

Bottom line - it has not been fun watching the Nets since the 1st Spurs game in NJ and they owe it to their fans / themselves to compete. I'm sure other Nets fans have a quick channel trigger today so yet another awful 1st half will be "lights out" for me (and others I assume).

Question to throw out there...how would you guard (as a team) a player like Lebron? Would you play him one on one and not allow anyone else on the team to beat you ...or would you double him and force some one else to beat you?

Double him and leave guys like Varejao or Wallace open in my opinion is the best idea .

Wow...Kristic is on fire today. I'm glad they keep going back to him. He makes us such a different team.

Who is D. Cook? He was like the 3rd or 4th leading assist man for NJ

Against Lebron and the Cavs, I would double Lebron and force the other guys to beat us too. Varejao and Wallace are proven to have terrible offensive games.
