New Big Three?

Post#1 » by the_second_coming » Thu Mar 27, 2008 9:21 pm

I'm a raptors fan first and foremost, but the nets are my second favourite team and I've watched most of their games this year. Is it just me, or does Harris seem to be a much better fit then Jason Kidd is? Carter has elevated his play since Harris arrived, Jefferson has been constantly great, and Harris has added a whole new dimension to the team with his ability to knock down the jumper and get to the rim. I just think the new 'big three' looks far more impressive then the old one, which just looked worn out.

Yep all the way the new "big 3" is much better with Harris than Kidd.

When Kidd's heart was there, he was ten times better than Harris will ever be but yes, Devins consistant play and scoring is what we've been missing.

not gonna lie, they are a great trio, they just need to get one more peice during the summer. a good center or something then they will be a great team. Thats if they dont trade away carter which many think or know is going to happen.

Cant compare Kidd to Harris.

Kidd was a floor general. Harris is a shooting PG.

Harris still needs work on leading a team. Harris is more on the Marbury, Arenas, Parker, and AI level.

Hate the term "Big 3"...that's what we were when we had 3 superstars and an "along for the ride"supporting cast...now the Nets can hopefully just be a good team that with players that come up "big"
Walk away from this ASAP.

I think having Harris here is just a breath of fresh air for VC and RJ.

But yeah, as some pointed out here, when Kidd wasn't becoming a distraction, the team was much better with him as compared to Devin Harris.

well the big 3 was better without the injury plagues and earlier in like 05 , kidd was gettin old + he didn't want to be here so that ruined it.

still harris is nowhere near kidd's level.

The fact that the Nets are scoring at a clip that they haven't reached in a long time has a lot to do with Harris coming in, Collins getting shipped out and Ike Turner getting sent where he wanted to go. As John Hollinger put it, you actually have 5 guys on the floor to defend at all times now, we can play fast break basketball and we can score in the halfcourt, if we actually attempted to play defense for more than a few minutes per game this team would be very, very tough to beat. Harris, Carter, Jefferson, Boone, and Krstic are making Frank's JV offense look better than it is.

So what would it take to get Harris out of NJ?
