Willing to do a package of Outlaw and Jack for him? Maybe Portland throws in a future 09 pick as well. How much do you guys value him compared to Marcus Williams?

I would rather trade Marcus Williams then Devin Harris.

Devin Harris is basically the 9-10 best PG in the NBA right now, and he has a boatload of untapped potential.
Outlaw is a nice player starting to come into his own, but come on guy.

IMO, Devin is difficult to rank as far as PGs are concerned...(anyone up for making a list...)
1- he can be considered a combo guard, though I believe his natural position is PG...
2-I think you will start to see Devin settle into his position and role on the Nets through next season...something I'm really looking forward to...
some say he's a future Allstar, some think he'll be borderline somewhat like RJ is...and others believe he's a good player but see allstar predictions as a reach...
As for me, I think you're out of your mind offering Jack and Outlaw...you definitely underestimate Harris's potential...I see Harris having a big future as a Net...I really feel fortunate as a fan to see Kidd leave and watch Harris take over...Its not often NBA teams are able to give up such talent at a position and be able to say we have nice transition to look forward to with Devin Harris taking the ball...
Once Devin becomes comfortable, I see an allstar caliber point guard who's going to surprise a lot of fans who thinks he's just an above average player...(consistency will be key in how far his career will go)

Not gonna happen. Rod Thorn was on record as saying that a Blazers/nets deal was ready to go down that would have sent Kidd to Portland for Outlaw/Jack + picks (or rights) but Kidd went public and "blocked" the trade, and that Rod was glad and fortunate that he did so because he liked the Mavs deal a lot more than the Portland deal.

While I agree that this is a bad trade for NJ, what do you think it would take to get Harris? adding in the 13th pick and Joel Przybilla perhaps? Many Blazers fans overvalue Joel and probably say no to that, but I've always been a big Harris fan and would love to see him on the Blazers. The 13th pick could net you a guy like Kevin Love to anchor your frontcourt for a long time. Just an idea I fgured Id throw out there

I'm inclined to keep Harris, but I'd be lying if a package that included Outlaw and pick #13 didn't intrigue me a little.
Honestly, I'm not that interested in Pryzbilla. He has some value, but that's a lot of money for an injury prone big man, especially when NJ already has Boone, Krstic, S. Williams, Swift and 2-3 first round picks in the draft.

Not a big fan of the upcoming drafts so trading Harris for picks doesn't really catch my attention.

1 Paul
2 Kidd
3 Nash
4 Deron Williams
5 Chauncy Billups
6 Baron Davis
7 Gilbert Arenas
8 Andre Miller
9 Tony Parker
10 Devin Harris
The top 4 can without question be flip flopped around into basically any order.
9 & 10 can be flip flopped as well, but I give Tony Parker the nod because he has been very clutch in the playoffs in numerous spots.
I do believe Harris will be much better then Parker. Harris is the better playmaker, and finishes just as strong. He is at least as fast if not quicker.
Parker is better as of right now for 3 reasons: playing with Duncan, Ginobli, Finley, Bowen, etc. makes the game ten times easier for him, Greg P has coached him, a lot more experience.
I think Parker is one of the most underrated and overrated players, simultaneously.

The only way Thorn sends Harris to Portland is for either Roy, Aldridge or Oden, which isn't really feasible.

I think Portland really missed the boat when Harris was available from Dallas. I wonder if the Mavs are happy with Kidd?
Anyways, Harris might not ever be a top 3 PG in this league, but he's pretty darn good. I can't really see the Nets giving him up personally.

Alright, then send RJ to Toronto, they'll send Jose hopefully or TJ to Portland, we'll send Outlaw, Jack, and filler to you guys.
