hi nets fans, just wanted to get your input on krstic's performance since he came back from surgery, especially the last month or so where he seems to have some springs back in his legs.

do you guys think he is going to get resigned to a reasonable contract (say 5-year, 7M per) or is he likely to take the QO?

basically, do you think he can recover 100% and actually become a better player next season and beyond?

thx in advance for your scouting reports.

Well his shot was back again and he looked like his knee was ok .

BUT his movement , lateral quickness and agility really weren't there . His conditioning also hasn't looked really great.

He has to get it back over the summer.

My guess is he stays but you never know.

Krstic has shown flashes, but honestly, the guy has looked like the stuff that ends up on the newspaper lining of bird cages. If some team overpays, i won't shed a tear.

Plus, I think the guy is a bit weak mentally....I hope we can keep him because when he is on point the guy is a great weapon to have but the jury is out on whether this guy can regain his pre injury form.

Anyone who expected him to play much better than he did this year was out of their mind.

My guess is that he'll make strides this summer, but still take a portion of the regular season to get back to 100%.

I'd have to let him walk for $7M per. He's shown glimpses of returning to form, but not enough to give him that much money. That seems kind of harsh, considering he's a 7 footer who can shoot the 18 foot jumper -- but his knee is still questionable, his mental toughness isn't there and he doesn't really provide what we need. He's basically another outside shooter, with an occasionally post move and a soft rebounder that's not strong enough.

I guess I shouldn't say I wouldn't give him that much, but it's all dependant on how our payroll looks when we decide to address the Krstic contract.

Yeah that makes perfect sense without any kind of replacement .

Krstic actually had a decent back to the basket post game pre injury that he was starting to further develop.
Frank just really didn't call plays for him in that fashion, for what reason I never understood.
He was used almost strictly as a pick and pop guy.
Another in a long list of sound decisions by our time tested head coach.

I don't know he's been so slow since coming of the injury and has been pretty predictable on his post moves . Every decent defensive team handled his post moves pretty easy this year . He deperately needs a better footspeed again.

Thats why I said pre-injury.
