If we some how end up drafting a PG like Russell Westbrook or if jerryd bayless were to drop (which I doubt) I'd do it. He'd instantly become our best shooter.

Westbrook is one of the farthest things to a PG in this draft.
Think Tony Allen or Fred Jones on reverse ends of the spectrum for this guy.

I'll have to take your word for it because I know nothing about Westbrook. Just saw him listed as PG who'd be around where we're projected to pick and mentioned his name.

he's quick and athletic and can lock anyone down. Could use more skills offensively and a consistent shot but he can break a guy down off the dribble with his quickness. He's the only guy that showed up in their final four game.

I'd definitely consider it. I'd have to wait and get an idea of what the draft will get us though.

i love head but hes better off as a 2 gaurd but i guess if we keep carter it wouldn't be a problem becuase luther is a good ball handler and hes a GREAT 3 pt shooter so carter would be able to set him up and he could get significant minutes at the 1 or the 2.
at this point with marcus' inconsistently and lack of showing improvement im pulling the trigger on this.

I don't get everyone's view on Marcus.
He was only in his friggin 2nd season this year, and was coming off a pretty bad foot injury that slowed his progress.
Yes he is TO prone, but most young points are.
He hasn't gotten many minutes to prove himself either.
His D is suspect, but whoever expected his D to be good?
The few times he got big minutes and started he looked pretty good.
He has also shown he has a pretty damn nice shot from 3 point land, and is pretty good in the clutch, at the end of games.
I am not even sure Rod has given up on him.
He had to make the Devin trade, it was the best value he was going to get for Kidd.
Most young PG's are just that, inconsistent.
The position creates a lot of pressure, probrably the most of any for a young player.
He only played 53 games last year anyway, including a decent amount towards the beginning where he was just terrible and then there were games that L Frank inexplicitly pulled him for one mental error, as if he was expected the reincarnation of Kidd.
He was 3-4 as a starter and put up some nice #'s and some overall impressive play.

but the thing is he knows in his mind he should be a starter, because here it isn't the best place because the only uprise in his career on the nets will be a 6th man, he wants to be a starter but if devin harris is here well its not gonna happen. You need people that know their roles.

Every young talented player in the L wants to be a starter.
Doesn't mean they will be.
Who says trading him somewhere else makes him some instant lock to be a starter?
Play him 22-25 mpg off the bench.
I think he produces if he is given consistent minutes and not grounded everytime he forgets to put out the garbage.
