Sounds like Riley is open to trading the 2nd pick.
what will thorn have to do to get it?

Well i don't care to be honest if the prize isn't too high and the franchise benefits i'm open for any change.

^ As cool as it would seem, I really doubt we have pieces to get that pick.
I see where Rileyis coming from because he is in the same positon as the Cavs. If he isnt winning, Wade might jump ship too. So riley has to make Miami competitive FAST.

The only way I trade up to 2 is if I know for a fact that Beasley is there at 2.

Well i read somewhere the Heat only consider trading the Pick if Rose is not available so that should be given .

I think if Riley trades the #2 pick he's DEFINITELY getting a quality big man in the Elton Brand mold in return...
The best the Nets could offer would be Carter or Jefferson, the #10, and a few other pieces that would result in the Nets getting the #2 pick, and a load of bad contracts (think Mark Blount bad).

yeah upon giving it some though, we dont have what riley wants. He wants a superstar not just some pieces with potential.
So much for this idea then. Melo it is.

WoW! Just read
http://www.miamiherald.com/594/story/542123.html
At least five lottery teams picking behind the Heat -- including Seattle, Memphis, New York, New Jersey and Sacramento -- would have interest in acquiring Beasley if the Heat is serious about making a potential draft-day trade.
As weird as this may seem, I dont know what Riley is trying to pull and I dont think Riley would trade this pick. Out of those teams, we might have a chance.

It would be probably a scenarion where we have to swallow Banks and Blount who would be combined with the pick .
Don't know if i like that.

^ I would do it. Blount's contract comes off in time for LEbron. Banks can be traded that last year. I am sure Thorn would be able to get ride of banks contract around that time or buy him out.
It is only 4 mil too. I am not worried about it.

As a heat fan i would trade the #2 pick if its beasley along with banks and blount for Hariss, #10, #21, and a future first round pick. What do you think?

If you were to deem anyone untouchable on the Nets, it's Harris. Personally, I couldn't care less if we got something beneficial to the team's direction, but Vanderthorn have plans for him.

Harris means a lot to the Nets and that trade is exorbitant at best.
Jefferson, Marcus Williams, #10, is about the most I would give up to get Beasley (Beasley would have to be there) and that is a lot. I think it is definitely fair value for the Heat. It would depend on if they actually want to go in that direction though.
