Who would you keep, who would you trade:

Josh Boone
or
Sean Williams?
Al reported today that Sean was a piece in the rumored Carmelo deal. Say something like that comes up again, who would you prefer to keep??
Me? I don't give a damn. I like both players, they're both good kids to me with lots of room to grow, and i realize that you have to break eggs and slaughter a pig(or turkey, if you arent a pork eater) to make a bacon and egg sandwich..but what about youse guys?

I would rather S.Will.
Boone has improved but he is limited offensively.
S.Will has more potential. Jump Shot, Low Post Game, Blocking, Rebounding, Energy, Fast Break and can play Above the Rim.

First of all, let's get something straight...
Pork Bellies ---> Turkey Bacon
Seriously, I mean come on, now.
And to the smaller matter...
Yeah, I really don't give a damn which player. If it took both players, I'd strongly consider it.

I hate to say it, but if given the choice, I'd rather keep Josh Boone.
Sean Williams has so much raw talent and could definately be something special down the line but as long as L. Frank is our coach, he's not going to get the minutes he needs to get polished.
I like Lawrence as our coach but that's just the way it is.

i cut the pork out a few years back and my gut has been thankful ever since.
I'm open to using both guys too btw...if Boone had a jumpshot and finished stronger around the basket(basically, if Boone had Mikki Moore's game added with his own), i'd probably want to keep him because the guy played his tail off this year and really while Sean has the potential to be great, i dont know how well he will fare under this coach and these circumstances. Seeing that Boone is limited though, i wouldn't be upset if he was gone in favor of Sean, who has the potential to be a superior all around player at the 4 spot. Right now though, Boone is the better player and a better fit into this "system"

Sean Williams all the way baby last season we saw games where he looked like something special, Boone on the other hand really is at/near the edge of what his talent allows him to do which is a great 1st big man off the bench.
I think Sean can easily develop into a future all star along with Devin.
Im not as worried about Frank hampering Sean's chances to develop because he usually trusts his players more when they reach their second year if they provide the goods.

**** haha I just looked fast and thought the poll was for who you would rather trade so I voted josh but I'd much rather have Sean. Sean just has way too much upside than josh overall. Plus josh is limited offensively as he gets most of his points off put backs and lob.

Since Josh is one of my favorite players, I will say that I would rather keep him. Yea Sean could be something special, but he could also be a bust. Josh will always be a solid player and while he is limited offensively, he trys and works hard for what he gets. Plus defensively, we saw him harrass some big men this year.

I would like to see Boone moved with Marcus, if our FO decides that Marcus should go. Otherwise, our personnel, including our coach and PG, says to me that Sean should be moved before Josh. We jsut need ot get a good deal for him.

Boone... If he starts next year he'll definitely average a double double.

Boone and it is not even close!!!!!!!
Lets start by looking at what we know already. Boone recieved major minutes because what he brings to the table. He plays two positions the 4 and the 5 which is easier for FO to develop working points.
Boone can defend, rebound and score. Boone can add possibly 15lbs of muscle which will make him even better. Which leaves only one thing he will need to do a set shot between at 10 ft from the basket. Post skills are so difficult to master that will be more of a long term projection.
Swill he cannot defend yes he block shots his block shots are a product of bad footwork which leads him to rely on his athletic ability to make up.
He can definetly dunk!!!!!!!! i'll give him that but he has a lot of things to work on. Unlike Boone he will either be a 3 or a 4 which means he will need to handle the ball and he cant do that. For the record he cant shoot.
We dont know if he has the capability to develop these things. But we know he lost playing time this year due to his lack of professionalism or maturity.

Keep Boone, hands down.
Then trade Sean Williams and the 21 to the Bucks for Charlie Villanueva.

It would depend on the deal and what we get back. Personally, I want to keep both and trade other players. Even in a Melo trade I'd be wary of giving up either considering how much we would already be giving.

Thats an awful trade idea . I rather have Sean and a guy like Brandon Rush , CDR or something like that.

Yeah that is a crazy idea! The Nets can get the Randolph or Speights to fill that need with the 10th pick.
Or a sleeper pick like Bill Walker.

i would be afraid of trading sean williams.. scared of what he could become... his ceiling is waaaay higher than boone's, just as long as he gets his head on straight

I don't especially get why everyone thinks S.Will has so much more potential then Boone.
Contrary to popular myth on this board, Sean cannot shoot worth a lick, cannot defend anyone man to man, has about as much handle as Adonal Foyle, has the footwork of a toddler, has close to no post game, doesn't have great hands and he is more akward then Napolean Dynamite at prom.
What he can do is block a ton of shots on the helpside, rebound quite well, even though he doesn't get very good positioning, finishes in the lane with authority, and has very above average passing skills for a big man.
To those who say he may wake up one morning at the 3, you sound like a delisional Knicks fan.
If Boone could learn how to consistantly finish at the rim, and just develop around 2 to 3 basic, but effective and consistant low post moves and a jumper out to about 10 feet he would be on a completely different level compared to a lot of the league, let alone Sean.
Boone shows very good form on his free throws and jumper already, so it should basically come down to the repitition of practicing to get that part down.
He could probrably throw on about 15 pounds without negatively effecting any area of his game as well, while Sean is a toothpick.
Sean seems like his ceiling is a Marcus Camby type, who I think would be great, but other people on here don't even want to trade the 21 and Swift to get, just because of his contract and health concerns.
Beilive me, Sean's weight and lankiness combined with his style of play will lead to be injury prone as well.
And another thing, Camby was never even a tenth as akward as Sean, and was a dominant college player.
So yes, if the Bucks wanted, I would take a shot trading Sean for Villanueava if no other attractive trades come up. Maybe adding the 21st in there is a little much, maybe it's not, but CV has shown flashes of brilliance as a starter and is a good offensive player with a pretty good frame along with a legit 6'10 height.
And I sure as hell don't want Bargnini.

Yeah Boone had a good year but it took him two years to get this far.
Give S.Will two years hie will be a monster. Boone got shut down by Frank too his rookie year as did M. will and Wright.
Boone will only go so far. 10 pt 10 rbs will be overrated soon when people start really D-ing him up. If he they stop him from rolling to the basket you can count out those easy baskiets. He shoot a mid range jumper (S.Will has shown us he can). He cant post up (S.Will has a sweet post up game that needs to be worked on. Jump Hook and turnaround Jumper).
S.Will be a monster. Remember this post.

Myth? The guy has a jump shot. He has some low post moves. The guy was rank high in Rookie of the Year votings thoughout the season. What the HELL are you talking aobut?

Yeah he can do all those and can:
Shot a JUMPER
Baby Hook
Turn around Jumper

Have you seen Boone shoot a jumper? The guy cant. He is exaclty like David Lee. That is not part of their game. They dont have the confidence to do that.

I dont think S.Will will even be close to Camby's game. Two different players.
