DO you think that the Nets should make a run at Gilbert Arenas. He annouced today that he will become a free agent

I say the NJ take a run at him a sign and trade deal invovling prolly Carter or Jefferson, a expiring contract and one of our draft picks

Wit Arenas we have a proven scorer that can put up 27 or 28 points a game

Any package the Nets would offer for Gilbert would have to start with Devin Harris, include multiple 1st round picks, and probably a young player or two.

I wouldn't be entirely against trading for Gilbert but I think it's highly unlikely that he does not resign with Washington.

id throw a package involving RJ at washington for a sign and trade but doubt they'll look at it.

not a big fan of his game. great fantasy player though, but i don't want him on the nets for anything other than his blogging.

Haha I love his blog.

Yeah they'd laugh at us offering RJ though. RJ isn't the greatest 3pt shooter and neither is Crayon. They're too similar of players.

Why we shouldn't trade for him:

Why any attempted trade is useless:

Arenas is a black hole on offense and if he isnt scoring he is fairly useless. I'd rather not

aside the 3's Vince and Gilbert play allike, even if we sign him this dosnt solve the problem of our lack of low post-scoring...
