According to the Wiretap, Diaw/Barbosa

Pheonix would be up to unloading one or the other for a pick. I think if we could ship the 21st for Diaw, and pick Eric Gordon or Danilo Gallinari at 10, we would be rolling. Diaw would be a great player for us off the bench at the 4 spot. Gordon or Gallinari would fill the need of a wingman/shooter off the bench. With that said, Boki would be gone (unless Gallinari/Gordon would be backup at 2 with Boki at 3) as well as Diop. We could package Ager/Stro/and whatever to find another 2-guard. Down low would still not be set but Krstic/Diaw/Boone/Williams sure isn't bad. Who knows maybe a 1st next year and Krstic/Stro/Ager could land us a pretty good big.

What do you guys think?

Boris contract is quite big i don't know . He's so inconsitent and because of it not reliable . With 3-4 Million less per year i would really like the guy but his current contract is just too big for my taste.

Wow I completly forgot about the trade and matching the contracts. He is owed around 9 mill for the next 4 years. There is really no one to trade to match that. Forget it, my bad guys.

Matching the contract isn't the issue (I believe Swift plus either KVH or Ager works on the cap). With that contract, there's is no way I give up a pick along with expirings for Diaw.

Actually Pheonix wants to ship both Boris and Barbosa who are 2 guys that fill 2 need's this team has so I think we should package both our picks and try talking them into taking it.

No, no we shouldn't.

Mr. Italian at 10

Best available big (Speights/Hickson/Arthur is he falls)

I like both Diaw and Barbosa, but they're not gonna get anymore than a late first and fillers. Sadly, as much as I love Diaw, his contract breaks the camel's back for me now. These guys don't take us over the hump. We'd just be a 2nd round out with a slightly above average bench.

I like a Barbosa + Diaw + 15
for

Jefferson + 10 deal

The Suns continue to try to win now by giving themselves a Marion -Lite in Jefferson while also jumping up 5 spots . I think they are targeting one of these 3 in the draft : Augustin , R. Lopez, and Rush and at 10 they wlould likely have their choice of all 3 , wheras at 15 I see all three getting snatched up .

The Nets lose Jefferson's overpaid contract and add two solid pieces to the core . . . Harris / Barbosa / Diaw / S. Williams / J. Boone is pretty good and with pick 15 they could still nab A. Randolph . . . they would have an extremely athletic , skilled line - up .

No way am I trading RJ and #10 to improve our bench and trade down.

Plus, both players contracts end a year too late for what we're looking for. I'm 99% positive the nets have no interest for that reason.

Reading between the lines that would be our management stand on the issue. However, having Barbosa with Harris would be fun to watch and Diaw has a decent post up game.
