After K-Mart, Jayson Williams, and KK, one of my all-time favorite Nets.

You will be missed, RJ. Good luck with your career in Milwaukee.

I only started watching RJ after the VC trade and no matter his faults I really was impressed (and surprised) by his leadership. He was always supportive of the Nets organization and players and frankly was a better & more optimistic vocal leader than both Kidd/VC for the most part.

I wish him well with the Bucks and hope he can get an All-Star birth before he retires.
(just stink it up against the Nets)

Wow. I didn't see this coming. Even with the rumors, RJ has always been such a constant throughout this era. I thought RJ would be a Net for life... isn't that always the case?

RJ did a great job while he was here. Never questioned his work ethic or effort. Great teammate, fun interview, solid citizen.

I'll miss'ya. Sorry you're going down to the boonies. No more clubbing for you. Good luck.

watching RJ grow into the player we saw last year was truly fun to watch...its difficult to cut ties with a player/person of RJ's stature...he has done so much for this organization, I can say thank you for blood, sweat and tears...and always leaving it all out on the court...

Buck fan here. Classy thread guys.

I hope you enjoy Yi, but I was never a fan of his when the Bucks drafted him. It left a bitter taste in my mouth to watch an unproven commodity try to dictate where he gets drafted in a league that should be considered an honor to play in.

I wish I had some good news to report to you other than his size and his mid range jumper... I hope he brings you guys as much joy to watch as RJ did.. but if youre like me, you will have a hard time replacing RJ with Yi Jianlian.

Bobby Simmons was bad for us, but apparently he is getting in better shape this summer... but that is what they said last summer..... so who knows.

He was a true professional. A tough competitor and a big part of the best Nets teams I've seen since the 70's. His departure may mean a lot to us in two or three years. Off the court he gave a generous donaion to his former collage which is something you do not see that much of. Its a shame he had to put up with vicious rumers he didn't deserve that.

Good luck RJ, you left in the prime of your career and on a good note.

RJ came into this league as just a dunker and solid defender, nothing more than an ahtlete.

and look what his game has blossomed into. RJ put it out on the court every night, and never gave up.

Richard Jefferson will not be forgotten in a nets uniform.

damn i have his jersey which i only wore like 3 times.

RJ,

We can't thank you enough. You brought your A game every night and paid through enormous physical and mental pain at times. You did whatever the team needed and we put you in some horrible situations. You are a class act. Stay that way. You are one of my favorite players of all-time. Keep up the good work and good luck in Milwaukee. If Redd stays there you guys might be building something after all. Let's hope this trade pans out for both teams involved (hopefully the Nets a slight bit more).

Good luck with the rest of your career in the league,

J Kiddy

Nets fan for life, Mad respect for RJ

Good luck and Good Health to RJ!!! You'll be missed, one of the best Net players of all time.

I think RJ's sarcastic wit will be missed just as much as his play on the court(when he was the real RJ, not that guy who showed up last year looking to jack up shots), RJ may be one of the funnier players in the NBA when it came to post game interviews...some of the crap that would come out of his mouth, especially after a loss was utterly hilarious.

Bucks fans, you got yourself a good guy if he comes to play on both ends of the floor.

Good luck trying to get that ball from Mo and Redd. Even assuming he can get that he'll have to deal with Bogut constantly posting up to clog the lanes and Charlie V jacking 3pters.

Watch RJ doing a Bogut at the free throw line in December high fiving himself .

He's close to Kidd so he is def. going to hate Scott Skiles and probably already know it from Kidd .
Watch out for RJ , Redd and Bogut ally and get Skiles canned .
