Small Time Trade for SF

Nets Send:
Swift
Marcus Williams
Hassel

Nets Recieve:
Q Rich
Wilson Chandler

Yeah I know Q Rich has been hurt a lot and his contract is a little big, but he is a highly underrated player and his contract runs out right on time.

Chandler showed a lot of potential as well.

Knicks cut salary, get a cheap young point guard prospect and clear some of the log jam at SF.

I do like him, but QRich hasn't been the healthiest guy either the last 2 years. I'd hate to have almost 20 million a year locked up for the next 2 years on 2 small forwards that aren't the healthiest of guys.

Plus D'Antoni loves him. QRich was ecstatic when they signed D'Antoni. I doubt Qrich is the guy leaving New York.

This deal is  .

We do not want another undersized, overweight, injury-prone SF from Depaul; Bobby Simmons is plenty.

No Chance!

We are trying to get rid of some money and take a young player or future 1st round picks.

Q makes 9 mil this season and another 9 mil next season. Not worth it.

This is a deal to consider.
Nenad Krstic and the lower of the 2 picks in 2010 for Thaddeus Young. We are over loaded in the PF/C area. Look for Thorn & Kiki to move Krstis. Ed always like Krstic.........he might bite with the 2010 pick. I doubt he would do a straight swap. This is how you rebuild........pick up young CHEAP talented players. Thaddeus for the next 4 years will make about an average of 2.5 mil a year. Krstic is junk. We all know that.......thats why we couldnt get KG. The problem wasnt RJ but Krstic.

We have a snowballs chance in hell of ever getting Thaddeus Young. As incredible that would be for the Nets, there is a 99% chance it would never happen. The only shot we'd have is if the Sixers couldn't land one of their free agent targets (Brand/Josh Smith) or can't get a good trade (I read a few places they called about Boozer and were told no chance but at least they're trying ya know?) and they really think they just need to add a decent cheap guy to play along side Dally. We'd probably have to send another guy with some value as well (Marcus or Sean or Josh or maybe we could pawn Ryan Anderson). Regardless, landing Thaddeus when Philly is so high on him is a bigger pipe dream than us landing Lebron as of right now.

Unless you really love Chandler, you're better off looking elsewhere IMO for a SF.

I also don't love the idea of trading Hassell and his defense. It's clear that Vince is already going to carry the load offensively for us. To also ask him to be the primary defender, is asking too much of Vince IMO with his age and health.

I'm not sure how the Knick fans would feel about this one, but I would strongly consider a Marcus for Chandler swap straight up.

x2 I'd take Chandler but QRich puts us over the cap I think and helps the Knicks.
