I actually went to the draft, at the time i was extremely exited. Now i am worried.

Brook lopez is gna be a scorer no doubt. But from a 7 footer we need defense and espically rebounding, there has to be a reason why he dropped from 3 to 10 none the less i am still happy with the pick.

Ryan anderson is going to be a bust. You heard it here first. July 14th 2008 . Courtsey of me . He may sound like a star 6'10 damn good shooter but then again who is this kid? why did we waste the 21st on him? Think of all the drafts and all the players who let down teams he is going to be one.

As for CDR! an absoulte STEAL!! I dont no how this kid dropped he has got great talent. I know he is going to come hungry wanting to prove other teams which i love. I he is the most nba ready right after beasely. Think about mayo and rose these dudes are struggling . How are you gna be oj mayo and get 8 turnovers in the summer leauge? WHops? Derrick rose not any better.

CDR will be a 9pt scorer off the bench, lopez any where from 12-14 but will struggle alot with rebounding this kid is not even rebounding in the summer leauge which is a joke, and anderson 5-6 pts. You heard it here first. I have been watching this team for to long. Trust me.

I don't get it. You dogged Lopez from dropping and CDR a steal when I believe we should've picked him at 21. Wouldn't your initial reaction be Lopez was a steal or CDR will be a bust for dropping? I'm not high on Anderson either, but he's been impressive in the summer league and even then, I'm reserving full judgment.

Either way, it's way too early to judge rookies. It's hard enough to judge guys after their second year, let alone guys who haven't played a single NBA game yet.

Honestly, calling Anderson a bust isn't a wild, outlandish yet profound prediction so the "you heard it hear first" isn't necessary

Sometimes GM's dont get it. Especially in the case of the Timberwolves they should have jumped on Lopez. On the samepoint CDR should not have fell to the second round either way i am ecstatic with all picks.

Did you see the Dunk Anderson had in the summer on a dribble drive in the lane?

Once Again im ecstatic with the picks and their progress to this point.

I haven't watched any summer league but i've seen Anderson play a few times in college and he's very skillful and smart.

Down with NJN since Kenny and Derrick

Haha, you are completely right. You cannot judge a player because he fell in the draft. Lopez was a steal for us. As was CDR. Anderson may or may not have been the best pick up at 21 but give the kid some time to develop.

Defense is something you can teach with good coaching. Lawrence Frank will buckle down on Lopez to play tough defense if he expects to be our starting center. Not to mention he can learn alot defensively from Sean Williams.

As far as Anderson is concerned if he comes off the bench and plays tough, knocks down a few shots, and gets to the line. I wouldn't call him a bust regardless of his stats. It's not like the expectations of him are huge anyways

Worried?

First of all, i'm not sure how long you've been watching the NBA draft but the way they've been drafting now is, there should be two or three locked players going in the 1st two or three picks. Then, there's teams that would fall in love with one player and the rest of the teams will be drafting by positions and needs. For example, Rose, Beasley and Mayo were locked in the 1st three picks respectively. Seattle could've drafted Lopez but they fell in love with Westbrook, who wasn't even a projected top ten. Memphis love Mayo but would settle for Love, which they did but later on traded for one another. Don't ask me about the Knicks because it's been a little weird in that side of the river. The rest was by positions and needs, the Clippers have Kaman, the Bucks have Bogut and the Bobcats needed a PG and they also have Okafor (if he stays). The Nets picked him because we needed a center, Bayless would've been huge as well but we needed to get bigger and that's been our problem year in and year out.

Anderson is still unknown, so i would'nt say he's a bust already and who are you to say "you heard it first here"? If you are so good of evaluating a players skills then you should've been a scout, unfortunately, you're not. I personally would've picked Greene, although he wasn't a favorite of mine either but i love taking chances on athletic players. If Anderson can show that he can shoot the ball from the outside consistenly ala Dunleavy with minimal minutes then i will be satisfied.

There's nothing to say about CDR, obviously, he's a fan favorite already.

I can't trust you enough, you need to watch this team MORE.
