We are still in need of a low post threat and we know you guys are looking for some cap space to run after lebron and Wade iin 2010.
Hughes has a huge contract that expires then and so would you be willing to do a trade in a case such as:
Hughes, Gooden, Hinrich, possibly maybe a protected draft pick for Williams, Lopez, Filler.
OR any deal that would inculde one of your many bigs in either Lopez, Kristic, or even Yi.

We don't have any fillers big enough besides Carter that runs through 2010 that isn't a young player.
We're not giving up Lopez before he even played a game for us in the NBA especially not for these guys.

No. We're a team in rebuilding looking for young talent. We have no interest in the three Bulls mentioned. You might be a bit confused with all the veterans we've been signing. It's more of a case for teaching the young guys. We want young talent/draft picks, but it's likely Chicago isn't willing to give them away so most likely, CHI and NJ will never be trading partners.

^^^ Took me like 10 seconds to realize what that said.
Exactly though. If you're taking a touted young big from us, we're getting Thabo in return. You can keep Tyrus and Noah. I wouldn't even look at any deal from the Bulls unless Thabo was in it. Bulls won't do that so a trade between us would never work. We're just bad trade partners.

On a side note if you want to get rid of Larry Hughes I'll give you Slowmile Stiff, Trenton Hassell, and Maruice Ager...

I'd gladly do that as well. His contract comes off the books at the right time. If we were just putting guys on our bench and clearing roster spots, if Chicago took that, I'd be fine with it.

You really are a confused person aren't you? How about I make an appropriate counter-offer.
How about you guys send us Gordon, Deng, and Rose for Boone, Hassel, Swift...
I wouldn't mind S&T Krstic for Hinrich though.

If I were a nets fan (which Im not) I wouldn't take the deal either considering the nets are already set at the PG and PF positions. Here's my proposal. Just a thought, but what do yall think about dealing V.C., and a cap filler for andres nocioni(cheaper contract), larry hughes(expires 2010 in time for star studded free agent class), thabo, and a future protected 1st rounder? I think it's good for both teams. The nets would be alot younger/deeper, and the bulls would get a solid vet to help transition VDN into coaching. also clearing up the so called guard glut for the bulls. I'm pretty sure this has been thrown out a few times already, but i would like to hear the nets fans opinions on this.
the projected lineups would look like this...
Nets
PG: Harris, m. williams
SG: Hughes, or thabo
SF: Nocioni, najera, CDR
PF: Yi, swift, s. williams
C: Lopez, s. williams
Bulls
PG: Rose, hinrich
SG: V.C., B.G.
SF: Deng, thomas
PF: Gooden, Thomas
C: Noah, Gray

No sh*t? Cliff Levingston would be all over that from the Bulls' side.

Nets decline. Nocioni is redundant with the signing of Najera (not that he's as good as Andres), plus he eats into their cap room for 2010/11. This might make more sense for NJ if Nocioni (or Hinrich) was dealt to a 3rd team for youth and shorter contracts.
