I don't think he's looking for more than $6 million a year, I'm not even sure if he's demanding the full MLE... I think he's looking for years more than $$$ at this point in time he wants an opportunity to prove himself.
If I had to guess I would think his agent is looking for a deal of 3 guaranteed years (player option for the third year) starting at around $4-$6 million a year.
Not too long ago when Drew Gooden resigned with Cleveland he got a deal of 3 years $23 million, given Nenad's injury concerns I don't think his agent can justify asking for that much.

I actually think Nenad is looking for a small but guaranteed deal right now. 2-3 years for like 12-15 million. I was reading an article yesterday saying that Nenad doesn't want to go to Europe. He's rather rehab in the best league in the world because it'll make him work harder. I could see him wanting a short contract so hopefully he can prove himself and get his payday and still be considered "in the middle of his prime" instead of signing like a 5 year deal and being 30 when he is looking for a new contract.

Re: Nened Kristic?
^^^ Yeah but like that says, and what I said in the earlier post, it seems like Nenad is using europe as an ABSOLUTE worst case scenario. I think he'd rather do a sign-and-trade to another team if the Nets didn't want him than go back to Europe. I think the only way he goes to Europe is if he gets an offer that he can't refuse.

With an abundance of big men on their roster, the Nets are also said to be looking into sign-and-trade scenarios involving restricted free agent Nenad Krstic, who missed the majority of the last two seasons due to a left ACL injury. Thorn has said that it's still possible Krstic will play for the Nets next season, but that is seeming more and more unlikely.
