And Josh Boone is rated a 71... Lower than Stromile Swift, Speedy Claxton, etc.
I'll probably get the game but I'm hoping they tweak the passing mechanics they look downright horrible right now. If you watch the videos out there it's like the ball is being passed through players...

A lot of the time I feel like you get diehard fanboys for each game (Live or 2k9) who just won't acknowledge the flaws that each game has... I used to be a big Live fan but switched over to the 2k series when EA stopped caring about putting out quality products.
But anyway most of the videos out there are from the online beta so I'm still hopeful they fix the gimmicky looking passing. I remember playing 2k7 quite a bit for the PS2 and the passing looked better there than it did in the videos I've seen of 2k9.
There are just a lot of little dumb quick shuffle pasts I've noticed players doing.

NBA Live just used to piss me off so much because, no matter how good or bad they were in reality, point guards would own you. I can't tell you how many times Eric Snow lit me up for like 40 points shooting 85% from the field.

if we get 5 people to get this game then we can do a 5 v 5 game online of course we would be the Nets. I think it would be cool going against other members of each team board

With all those amazing PS3 games coming out this holiday season (the same can be said about the 360) I just dont know man........
I'm a huge fan of the series but Fallout 3,Rock band 2,LBP,Resistance 2,Call of duty 5 and various other titles seriously are gonna gang rape my wallet.

Call of Duty should have never went back to that World War crap, COD4 was the first COD I played that I actually enjoyed.

also the people who made COD 4 are not making COD 5. The people hwo made COD 2 are making COD 5 and COD 2 was just horrible for 360

I'm in the same boat, a lifelong-Live-guy, considering switching over to 2K. Would you say the difference is really noticeable?

Live is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Many people are saying 2k has slacked off the past 3 years and it's pretty much the same game with updated rosters and few additions gameplay wise. I get both games every year, 2k has clearly been the better game; but as I said - Live will surprise people.

yea i highly doubt that. The only thing EA has been prasing is there Live 365 feature. Seeing how the demo feels the same as past NBA Live it looks like they focused more on LIVE 365 then actual gameplay

Live 365 is driving the core gameplay this year, so that comment makes no sense. The demo doesn't have any of that implemented yet, and the gameplay is much improved over last year. They fixed the rebounding issues and the dunk animations. Not to mention there's LOADS of new animations for dunks/layups as well. I personally feel Live has always had 2k beaten on graphics, and those are improved as well. The broadcast is leaps and bounds above 2k. EA has really used the user feedback from numerous forums and implemented many ideas myself and others have pitched. With all of that being said, 2k is still a better game for now, and no one really knows how 2k9 is going to play out since no demo is out.

I agree that that graphics and a lot of things on Live own the 2K series. One of my friends usually buys the new Live every year. Raymond Felton is the new Eric Snow to me, so the day I can hold Raymond Felton to realistic stats is the day I switch back to Live (see my other post if you have no idea why I'm bringing up Felton and Snow).

while I agree about the PG dominance, it was supposedly toned down this year as well. I've fixed that each year though with edited sliders. It is a bit of a pain, especially when the game should ship out of the box the most realistic. Both games need tweaked sliders however and both play much more realistic after the sliders are implemented.

The day NBA LIVE does better then NBA 2K is when i buy a live game. Actually the day that EA finally notices they cant make a basketball game and decides to be greedy and buy 2K(if) is when i buy a Live game. Also the Demo is up for the PS3 and will soon be up for XBOX in a couple days. A New trailer was released also.

looks like EA has screwed over many once more. To Expierence the LIVE 365 feature(The feature which they are hyping more then Madden iQ) you will have to buy the full game brand new. Now if you buy the game used or borrowing it from a friend or renting it you have to buy Live 365 for 20 bucks. EA SPORTS excuse was"the exclusive license is too expensive"...
