Re: Official Training Camp Thread
well the early good news is SWat is impressing the coaches & his teammates early but let's see him in real game situations not make/take stupid fouls & make the proper rotations on defense then i'll be more convinced. Everyone knows this guy has such potential but remember last year Boki was killing it in training camp yet the results were a frustrating roller-coaster season.
Ryan Anderson is interesting. He's basically got positive reviews all throughout the summer & now training camp and his skill set would seem to fit the new part of the offense the Nets are implementing however will Frank be willing to give this kid significant minutes to prove his worth.
seems a few Nets are getting minor bump & bruises too. Yi has yet to participate so he's behind the rest of the guys and obviously therefore no feedback from the beat reporters on how he looks w/ his new teammates.
and obviously it's no surprise that a Defensive minded coach like Frank is emphasizing that end of the floor first. This is where guys expected to be impact D players like SWat can earn their minutes & where guys like Anderson can earn their minutes too by showing they can play both ends of the court.
First half of last season everyone was waiting for SWat to come in & energize the floor then it seemed he lost his mojo after the all-star break and never recovered. I hope he brings that excitement back big time this year.

Here's one of the few on SWat (from Dave D'Alessandro's article)

I just thought everyone here reads the other Nets website which centralizes links to all things Nets. Obviously wouldn't name the other website here as I guess they are "competition" to realgm and wouldn't want less traffic on this forum (a bit more would be nice, just not too rabid like other forums on realgm which I find makes it difficult or not worthwhile to put in your two cents worth).

Thanks dude.
The link is giving me problems, but so is nj.com/nets/ in general, so I guess it's something with their servers.
Yeah, I wish this board was more active with resident posters, or at least outside posters that weren't trolling.
