It was expected. It's actually good news for Ager too. Yeah he won't play at all unless there is an injury (knocking on wood), but he this offseason may find a team that wants his services or he could possibly go over to europe.
I'm still getting a sinking suspicion that we're trying to move Sean with a combo of our players (see: Hassel/Simmons/Stro). Either that or Stro/Ager because Ager now becomes an expiring.

Just a complete random thought.
I don't think we have much of a shot at Lebron.
Also, even if we do, we have 2 seasons to move VC if needed.
If Lebron isn't coming here there are still a few really nice options, but....
I know this is never going to happen, so it is just a hypothetical, but if we could trade, say, Boone, Swat, CDR, contract filler and 2 1st rounders for Tinsley(we would be forced to take him as part of the deal) and Granger, would you do it?

Yeah, I didn't want to bring that up.
Anyway, Larry must have been on our forum last night, cause after he read my post he immediately inked Granger to a very reasonable 5 year extension.

lmao at wiretap. Williams is an idiot if he thinks they would have declined his option so they pay him more money.

Yeah i think he was more upset because he wants out. He has no reason to want to stay here. With a handful of young guys in the frontcourt who are favored over him by what seems to be a lot, he cant want to waste his career on this team. This is indeed turning into another marcus williams situation.
If i were thorn id tell frank to start playing him NOW and a LOT so i can hurry up and decide what I should do with him. How the hell do you know if a player is worth keeping if you never see him play?

After the moves and the draft this year, I think it honestly was clear that if we were gonna move a young big, Sean was the one on his way out. I think he saw the writing on the wall. As athletic has he is, I wasn't sure if they'd want to wait around for him. Boone and Yi are hopefully the future at the 4 and 5 for us, and I personally think that Boone and Anderson will gladly be career backups that play hard ever second on the court.
I would not be surpised if we're shopping the living hell out of him. A lot of people drool over this guy which is why we overrate him, but I think we're only gonna get a player in a need position that has as much potential but is a question mark like him. I thought that guy would be Shawne Williams or one of the kids out in Portland or something but I was wrong on all accounts lol. Once Najera is 100% and we have a front court rotation of Yi/Lopez/Boone/Najera/Anderson/Stro, I think Hassel/Sean will be moved out of town for a young 2 or 3 with potential.

But do we really have a needed position? Keyon backs up the 1. Jarvis the 2 or 3 and obviously we have a lot of bodies in the froncourt. I guess if we're gonna start looking way ahead for when vince gets too old to be the star of this team, we'd look at a budding 2 guard or a 1st round pick. Personally i feel like the writing on the wall should have been for boone but oh well.

I feel like we either hold onto to Sean till the draft if he doesn't become part of a bigger trade, and then trade up in the draft with him.
