Looking forward to watching this game. I can see Brook and Devin having nice games. Yi is likely going to have M.Williams and J.Smith on him. Expect another 4-12 game for him, unless he has one of his bi-monthly hot shooting games.

I'm always annoyed when VC shoots those fadeaway 3s, but when they're going in, what could you say?

The Nets are looking really good out there. What more can I ask for? We are about to sweep the Hawks in a home and home. They were looking like legit playoffs contenders before this series. The lineup just looks so fresh and smooth with Devin Harris running the show. Ryan Anderson and Sean Williams really provide this team with the boost they need off the bench. Jarvis Hayes is a steal. A free agent thats actually working out will for the Nets? Who knew? So far looks like we got 2 very good players in Dooling and Hayes.

Harris and Carter are a sick tandem. The Nets are almost at 50% ;D

Man that was some great basketball from wire to wire with the exception of that hiccup at the end of the 2nd.
Hopefully Jarvis is alright, but if he just misses a week or 2 at least it happens at a good time. Throw Belinelli into the fire.

Great win, everybody played well, just hope the Hayes injury isn't too serious.

Apparently they're saying that Hayes had back spasms and the injury does not appear to be serious.

great performance by the Nets...this team looks really confident with Devin in the mix...I love how he talked about being able to play his game and directing things as they come...who has the hot hand and what not...its nice to see us playing open and free as an attacking offensive team...its early in the season w/ only 9 games played, but its a big statement for this young team to get back to back wins vs the Hawks...

His defense is being severely overlooked by people outside of our fanbase, from the casual to the so called "experts" on TV.

Devin. The Jalen Rose body w/ the Tony Parker skillset. Another crazy good game. His ability to get the opposing team in foul trouble cannot be overstated. 1st game vs Hawks he forced a red hot Bibby to cool on the bench & just gathering up fouls for his team to put opposing players in foul trouble & to put them in the penalty will soften defenses up.
I loved the VC vs JJ matchup last two games. Both guys (for the most part) also defended each other (cough Wade cough). The individual game within the team game stuff - love it. VC pretty much took out the heart of the Hawks in the 3rd, tie game then VC goes crazy and that was pretty much it.
Lopez showed why he needs to start. He just has a legit NBA 5 body and it causes issues for opposing defenses trying to score in the paint. I would have liked Frank to throw in the ball in the low post more for him since he doesn't force his offense (Magloire !) and is more than willing to be a facilitator of the offense w/ his passing. I also like his aggression in the paint now - tried to throw down two dunks (fouled on one) instead of layup attempts.
Hayes. I love this guy. I really didn't know much about him before this season but I love his hustle & athleticism. After VC got blocked & Hawks had the fast break opportunity he teamed up with Harris to defend & got that great block off the glass. Nets need this guy to be healthy (luckily a few days before the next game) or else it's Hassell time which is losing time.
Have to admit Dooling played well. He looks much better coming off the bench as a spark plug. Even though it was brief I still don't like it when neither VC or Devin are on the floor. One of them should always be on the floor - or if not, very brief spell.
Anderson has a nose for the ball off the offensive glass. I also like how SWat is fighting for offensive glass all the time now (even against teammates

). I knew when he matched up with Horford in the 4th that SWat was gonna win that one-on-one battle. Kinda dissapointed in Horford in this back-to-back - he's really raw on the offensive low block.
Despite the 107 by the Hawks this was a super solid defensive game by the Nets. Guys were really hustling, forcing plays baseline & collapsing well. Some sloppy turnovers still & some frustrating moments late in the 4th when Nets kept fouling Hawks (I actually thought at one point Frank would have to put VC back in...).
Cleveland will be a huge test/barometer for this team. LeBron cannot be stopped and is showing he is the best thing going in the NBA right now.

I always appreciate your psot game comments and thoughts, but I think you're nit-picking /overanalyzing Dooling and the job he has done at backup PG...mistakes/TOs set aside Dooling is a major upgrade over the last several seasons...overall his ast/to ratio is at 2 to 1, imo he'll be close to avg a stl/gm by the end of the season off the bench and right now he has scored in double figures 5 straight games while avging 55% from the floor...he's only missed 3 fts in 9 gms, going 24-27 from the line w/ 13+ straight...

That was a sick game to watch! It was like watching NBA Live with all of those 3's being made. The Nets are playing with a lot of confidence and to win home and home against the Hawks is big. I am curious to see if the Nets can maintain this level of play.
How will they do against Cleveland?
