Is Josh Boone a top 10 player from the 2006 draft?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_NBA_DraftLooking at that list these are the only players I could find who are better than Boone (or in the case of Bargnani and Foye on the same level as Boone):
Andrea Bargnani
LaMarcus Aldridge
Brandon Roy
Randy Foye
Rudy Gay
Ronnie Brewer
Paul Millsap
Rajon Rondo
Jordan Farmar

If Rondo didn't have KG, Pierce and Allen, he'd be worthless in my opinion. I still say he's too early to say, but I would put him ahead of Bargnani overall, possibly even Foye. I wanted Farmar bad in that draft. I understood why we took Marcus, but even during the minutes waiting for the pick, I still thought Farmar was a better fit for our system. If I had to, I would be comfortable putting him between 8 and 10 on that list. Non-Net fans could probably still make a good argument of why he's not a top 10 though, but both sides have decent points.

It's still hard to believe that Boone was a great pick and Marcus was a complete washout

He gets absolutely no respect on the trade board. I mean no respect. A lot of people try to say he isn't even worth a late 1st rounder and some were saying he isn't even worth Bellineli.

I still say we should do a Josh Boon at PF and Lopez at C and Yi at SF star to test it out for 1 game. I really think it could work imo.

The only way we can play Yi at the 3 is if we play zone THE ENTIRE GAME. I know Frank is in love with that so I could see him pulling that. Yi would pose mismatches when we're on offense and should do better and the zone will hide his lack of quickness guarding a 3. Problem is, I hate Frank playing zone 30 minutes a game lol.

Not that I could think of I'm sure you could find some "idiot" who would argue that Craig Smith is better than Josh Boone but I wouldn't buy that argument at all...

From the 2009 Draft thread, apparently the kid from Arizona State is a Roy clone...therefore I want him. Whatever his name is. I don't care. I just want that kid. Trade for Gerald this season. Vince for an expiring next season, have this kid from Arizona State come in and play the 2. Sing amare or bosh in 2010.
Starting 5:
Devin
Arizona (which is what I'll probably call him even when I know his name)
Wallace
Amare/Bosh
Lopez.
i like it.

Tyrus Thomas is not better than Josh Boone. He's not even better than Stromile Swift. His "offense" is horrendous he thinks he's Kobe Bryant or something taking dumb fadeaway jumpers... Trust me if there's one thing I've ever been more certain of it's that Tyrus Thomas is an inferior basketball player to Josh Boone.
As for Gibsuck... I forgot about him. You could add him to the list if you want though...
I think the fact of the matter still remains though, Boone was an excellent pick given his draft position and has played much better than a number of players drafted before him.
