Frank is a moron.

Such a horrible lineup out there playing in a crucial time of the game (about 9 minutes left in the fourth)

On top of the horrible lineup, the one guy that can do something with the ball, harris, has not even touched the ball for 3 or 4 possessions.

Just unbelievable watching Frank snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Bulls announcers really ripping on Frank throughout the game btw (his substitutions, his micromanaging, players not paying attention when he's yelling out to the floor, etc.

VC and DH play by themselves only.

Frank doesnt know how to use his players too well unfortunately.Carter played well but he has to work his butt of to get ever single point, that takes a toll on you.He needs to place Carter in more back to the basket ISO's.He also needs to do the same with Yi,why is he always standing at the 3 point line?I know he wants to create space but he needs to be balanced.Yi is a good shooter but we need him to attack the basket more.

Secondly,we need to run more, plain and simple. This team would be a tad better if we run a little more than we do right now.We are Ok offensively but we can be better if we do this.i don't expect a great defensive team from our roster.

I won't even start on the match ups in 4th quarter, especially Lopez who actually was having good offensive game being again sat in favor of Hassel, just bcuz other team goes small. Not sure Nets can even put effort defensively, so when offense stalls it's trouble. Before Wizards game there was a pretty nice balance, but now it's a long stretch of plays for either Harris or Carter, during these times one of them isn't even involved in the game and offense becomes predictable. Mix it up Frank, when you ran the same play over and over opponents defense will adjust. I won't even ask for more movement w/out the ball or backdoor cuts, team created layups and not just long jumpshots, that would be insane.

The Bulls announcers suck, they were ripping on everything Nets related. Hell they were giving the frontline **** all game long while giving the Bulls frontline a pass when the Bulls have one of the worst frontcourts in the entire league!

Well a more competitive game. Chicago hit some big shots down the stretch (Rose 3, Gordon pull up 3) while the Nets missed (Yi 3, Devin layup attempt turn technical, Devin Turnover) and that's that but better effort and Nets controlled alot of the game but couldn't pull it out in the end. I don't like their chances ending the losing streak in T.O.

Great game by Vince. Complete 180 to the way he (didn't) play vs Raptors the night before. First play once again called for Vince but this time pick & roll up top (the post play makes it too easy to double & get the ball out of his hands it seems) and he drove to the rim, probed for second & found opening for a dunk and that set the tone for his game the rest of the night. Played liked he did earlier in the season mixing up his offense well going inside/outside/sharing the ball/controlling team tempo.

Devin was having a great game but struggled in the 4th with four missed layups. Devin was looking for some calls to bail him out. Sometimes his bad shot selection leads to fastbreak opportunities for opposing teams but I think Nets have to live with it because he's a one man fastbreak and you can't take away that aggression - Rose on the other hand hit four shots in the paint in the 4th and looked much better than his 1st half showing.

Yi Yi Yi. At least he's rebounding. He never looks to complete his drives into the paint anymore. Earlier in the season he would pull up in the pain and shoot a short baseline jumper or something. These days if he's not finishing an alley-oop or getting a pass under the basket he's not going there. His game has become way to suburban and if he's not hitting those shots he's no good for the team since his defense is many times also to suburban & Anderson isn't solving any of the problems Yi presents since he's less aggressive these days too. Tyrus sure looked good today like lots of frontcourt's lately.

Obviously Nets missed Hayes bench production. 12 bench points vs 37 is the biggest difference in this game. It's tough for Frank w/o Hayes having to use Hassell since his offensive game is so poor (who cares if he's the best Nets shooter in the gym - I've seen Montross hit mid range jumpers over & over in pregame too...real game counts).

Another game of two halves. Maybe Frank can coach the 1st half of games and hand it over in the 2nd half ;-)

Najera has looked very ugly the few times he's played this season but if he still has game he could be used to beef up the frontcourt defense from the bench...maybe.

Overall Nets are still 0.500 at 11-11....can't complain about the record just the missed opportunities.
Looking at the schedule it could be a tough losing streak but you never know with this team...I don't see them winning at Toronto or vs. Utah, Dallas will be very interesting, Miami is always a coin flip, Houston..., Indiana 3pt's (sure they suck but I think they matchup well & expose our defensive philosophy)....next supposedly 'gimme' game is back-to-back vs Charlotte Dec.23/26.

I think by Dec. 23 the Nets will be 13-15 (wins over Dallas, Indiana). Hopefully they prove me wrong (once again) but they could easily prolong this losing streak to 8.

the positive of losing is that it gets Frank's firing closer..I couldn't stand him when the Nets were winning, and it's obviously worse now with the losing..

this defense is just horrible to watch..even Devin Harris has become a bad defender..he missed rotations down the stretch, and he wasn't even contesting Rose or Gordon on their shots..this defense shouldn't be so bad..

Yi is the most annoying player in the NBA..when he isn't making shots, he's the worst player in the NBA..he doesn't do ANYTHING else at all..it's getting more and more frustrating..but it sucks because there isn't an alternative..

Puke.

Watched this one and fell back into that, "well here we go again", attitude from the last few years past, when you expected us to lose if we gave up the lead mid 4th.

Frank has got to go.

The funny thing is, when VC hit that 3 to break the tie, right before the back to back 3's from Gordon and Rose, I was thinking we were going to win and the 1st thing I was gonna do was come on this board, go to the game thread and rip the living hell out of Opie even though we got the win.

That lineup he had in for extended minutes of the early to mid 4th was cute.
Seriously, just cute.
Devin, Hassell, Simmons, Dooling and Boone?
On top of the fact that Lebron James couldn't maintain a lead with that lineup, after he waits too long to call a timeout and then does so when he should have let them play through it, he comes and leaves out the one guy that was playing defense besides VC, Hassell.
Amazing.
Usually I cringe when I see Hassell, but at that moment, he should have been in in place of Bobby "I don't really like to play defense so I'll just grab your arm" Simmons.

Once again, I would like to reiterate, it's not like I am being let down because I expected our tem to be good before the season started, because I actually just expected them to be mediocre.
I am being let down, because Opie is literally handing us losses in games we should be winning.
He is not putting the best available options in at the proper times and his play calling out of timeouts is abysmal.
Twice he ran double pick and rolls on the perimeter to set up 3's during critical stretches when we should have been constantly attacking the paint and their bubblegum front court.

Gross.

It really sucks when you lose to a team with a frontline on par with the Thunder's... Bulls fans are also going overboard with the Rose hype after this game.
