A SIC Trade Idea

What do you guys think about this trade?

Bobby Jackson and Quncy Douby for Hassel and Najera or Swift. If we have to sweeten the pot by adding a second rounder, I want Garcia instead of Douby.

Jackson would help with our backup PG situation short term. I always liked Douby, eventhough he might not get a chance to play here with FRANK, he helps the trade due to full rosters.

I'd do it if it meant Frank couldn't play Najera anymore, but then he'll just start giving Swift 15 mpg again.

Would love to see Swift over here in Sacramento!!

The Kings need him badly! But would they actually put him in the lineup instead of their young players?

I tend to doubt SAC would trade an expiring like Jackson for 2 non-expiring bench guys such as Hassell and Najera. Having one of them plus Swift, just puts the Kings further in the luxury tax hole. I don't see the financial incentive for the Kings to make the trade above.

This trade seems more realistic from the Kings' end:
Jackson, Kenny Thomas, Douby and a 2nd round pick for Hassell, Najera, Swift and Ager.

This version saves the Kings $2 million off the luxury tax this season, plus an additional $1.6 in 2009/10. Plus, over the long term, it would seem easier to dump off Hassell or Najera than the corpse of Kenny Thomas.

For the Nets, yes Thomas' contract hurts, but you aren't taking that much extra money on considering the roles (or lack thereof) Hassell and Najera have. Jackson fits more of a need than Swift and the 2nd round pick is nice to have.

I have no problem with that trade too.

We all knew FRANK was going to do this. We all had a feealing Frank was going to give Najera ore time then the rookies on the bench. Luckily for us Boone got hurt and Frank had to start Lopez.

Najera = alittle bit better scoring Collins

Anderson and CDR = Boone, M. Williams and S.Williams last few years
