Are you guys serious??

Post#1 » by Revolutionistt » Fri Jan 9, 2009 6:08 pm

Really, stackhouse?? larry hughes??? HERE is a real trade my fellow nets supporters.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=

Why the Nets do this:

We lose some of the softness we have underneath and bring in one of the grittiest players in the NBA.
We get a solid and young SG to backup Vince and relieve Dooling of having to backup 2 positions.
Were adding more potential to our offensive sets with a big man that can stretch the defense (like Krstic and Morre used to do, only 47000 times better now)
And last but not least, because I said its a good trade hahaha.

A - not sending out CDR for a 1 year rental.
B - we are not aquiring Afflalo for this package, even wth the swap of hometown CDR.
C - I have suggested this trade with Sean Williams in place of Boone when Sean Williams had actual decent trade value and no one liked it.
D - Sheed is one of my favorite players, but you can't have a guy of his caliber coming off the bench and at this point it would be highly counter-productive to start him over Yi or Lopez.

I disagree yet understand your points. But are you really gonna sit here and tell me you wont start sheed because it will effect the development of yi???

^^^ Yes, and that is honestly the Net management thinking as well unless we get a flat out difference maker. Sheed makes us a 2nd round out at best. Until we decide Yi and Lopez are not the future anchors of our frontcourt, I'm not hindering either of their development for a 1-year rent a player.

I don't think we'd have a shot in hell to acquire Aflalo either. They'd probably just say take CDR out and they'll take out Aflalo. Yeah we're not giving up anything of big value and yeah I like sheed a lot, but I honestly cannot envision our managment at this stage of the game even thinking for more than 30 seconds on this deal.

KIKI would do this trade without even thinking but RT would never sign off on this trade.Unless RT and Sheed went out and had a long dinner conversation and Sheed agrees to play a McDyess role off the bench and mentor are young bigs but that would never happen.

Detroit would never do this. They're not trading Rasheed's expiring contract unless they get some better young talent in return, and even then they'd probably think twice about it since they're loaded with cap relief if they keep AI and Sheed that's something like $35 million off the cap this summer...

No way in HELL I do this if I'm a Pistons fan. They can get hell of a lot better talent then a package built around CDR with swift, Hassell, and Boone.

Here's an idea....

Let's trade for Sheed AND Stack and also go after Antawn Jamison while we're at it. We could then draft Tyler Hansbrough and release a light-blue colored alternate jersey. After all this, when we move to Brooklyn we re-name ourselves the "Brooklyn Tar-heels".....seriously guys. Enough with the outlandish trade scenarios. This team is not going to make anything near a major trade between now and 2010 - unless it's in direct preparation for that year (i.e. - trading VC for expiring deals). Besides, the only way that trade involving Sheed happens, is if Mark Cuban is granted permission by the NBA to own two teams. Come on now.
