terrible game by the Nets, Vince's number are inflated most came in garbage time, i fear for harris, maybe the benching is affecting him and took alot out of him, not the right way to start a dreadful road trip...

That game sucked.

I thought about making this thread myself, but I didn't even feel like it after that effort.

Devin looked gimpy the whole game, I think the hamstring is still hurting him.

And if the benching is still effecting him he needs to grow up, fast.

We should have beat NOH.

They were without 2 starters, those being one David West and their defensive anchor, Chandler and their frontcourt is in shambles.

Gross.

If we aren't careful we are gonna be lotto bound and the worst part is it will be around the 12th pick, so if we don't luck into a top 3 pick it's gonna be a crappy lotto that is no better than having the 15th pick and getting the team valuable playoff experience.

You know you suck when....

Melvin Ely gets 30 minutes against you and you still lose!

Actually, he missed 3 consecutive layups in about 25 seconds.

Regardless, I'm fine with these losses, if it results in a Frank firing. It seems those benchings has put him on the hot seat, especially with players like Harris calling him out and publicly stating that upper management wasn't pleased with it either.

Has anyone else noticed something? Whenever the ball is ran THROUGH VC, it results in a open layup for Hayes/Simmons/Najera, etc.. or it's VC hitting a shot. RUN plays that puts VC in the high/low post and let HIM create shots in the half-court offense. Other times, when VC differs, make Devin the primary option with his penetration and scoring or kickouts on the wings/corners. It's not that hard Frank, I could do your job.

So you mean run an ISO on Vince and have him pass it when the double/triple team comes? Basically what we've been doing since he's come to Jersey? I think when we do it primarily in a game, teams easily pick us apart. We need a more consistant inside/outside game. Get the sets running through Vince/Devin and Lopez/Yi closer to 50/50 so teams have to stay honest against us. Frank's gameplan on offense is too structured and mechanical. Teams by the 2nd half can predict everything we do and pick us apart.

Once again Frank is outcoached.

So Frank benches Harris when he is healthy but isnt being productive, but he doesnt bench him for not being healthy and trying to be productive. So many how many layups does someone have to miss while limping and holding their ribs to say maybe he needs a break or this maybe serious?

Or was this a migraine but in the form of my ribs?

Yeah Harris needs to grow up, but Frank needs to grow up first.

The sad part is he was outcoached by our previous coach LoL... I still don't understand why we got rid of Scott to bring in Frank, and that's not me just talking after the success he's had with the Hornets.

Prelude; No..not all the time at least. I mean more set plays for VC where he obtains the ball IN the post instead of at the top of the key and tries to create. THAT gets predictable. I've said all along we're too one-dimensional. VC needs the ball more in the post, Lopez needs more touches. Harris needs to look to be more of a PG and create shots for his teammates instead of forcing the issue too much and having tunnel vision going straight to the basket.

The team at the time wanted him out. Ironically, everyone that wanted him out isnt here anymore. At the time, I think he had to go. It was either him or Kidd. At that time, No one would have said to trade Kidd. So you fire the coach.

That's true.. I think Kidd is one of the few guys in the league that can orchestrate something like that and not really be labeled as a punk or distraction. Ended up hurting us in the end.

My thoughts on the game:
Devin Harris is still consistently showing he is one of the best PG's in the NBA. He gave Chris Paul one hell of a battle. That stuff he had on him was just ridiculous. We need some help coming off the bench. I really think we could do with out Bobby Simmons. Every time I ever see him shoot it is from Devin Harris or Vince Carter drives to the lane and dish the ball to him while he sits in the corner of the perimeter and tosses it and hopes it rolls in.

Actually, I rather Simmons only do this. I dont want him to drive. He is good at being open behind the 3 pt line. Harris and VC need to continue to do that. The issue with Simmons is that he is getting paid too much to be just a shooter. He definitely doesnt deserve to be a starter, but I would rather have Hayes coming off the bench then simmons. If FRANK would have more low post plays, Simmons would be the perfect person to pair up with Lopez in a two man play. Simmons behind the arc passes into lopez. Lopez backs up C. Simmons man goes to double Lopez. Lopez kicks back to Simmons for an open 3. Pretty simple.

Actually, Harris couldnt contain Paul. I dont think anyone can.

I don't think you watched last nights game. I agree with S.I.C. GM. Harris didn't do anything with Paul last night.

I agree he didn't really shut him down, but who does  ? You do have to admit though that block was sick.

Oh yeah. I guess Harris didn't make that much of an impact because I had forgotten all about that block but yeah, now that I think about it, that block was nice.

It was a nice block. So was the block on Ely by Hayes and Carter (Hayes was sick though). Lets beat those Spurs!...ugh
