He is finally on the trading block, so what do you guys think of him? I for one, think he is the perfect player for us. He has the talent and skills that we need in this team. Very physical, very strong and very athletic. He is the perfect player to compliment harris. Imagine having one of the fastest player in the nba and one of the most powerful player. This excites me just thinking about it. Acquiring requires Young BIG prospect, draft picks and expiring contracts Anyway, I made a trade acquiring him and here it is:

then add in 2 first round picks 09 and unprotected mavs '10 pick

So what do you think? I think they will get better offers but I think this put us to become contenders

I don't really see a deal happening here. We don't have anyone we'd be willing to part with for Amare, and the guys we're willing to part ways with (anyone not named Harris and Lopez), Phoenix wouldn't be interested in or can get a better offer elsewhere.

He's been my #1 target for 2010 for some time now.

I don't see the Suns agreeing with this trade as well but, I think this is the best offer we can give them. I don't see us giving up brook at all. I think this is actually a pretty fair trade just because Amare has a bad injury history which make him injury prone and he is not as dominant as he was like in the past

I'm with Speedy here. They'd want Devin or Brook. We're not going to give either one up for Amare. As sad as it is, we'd have a better shot signing him as a free agent than trading for him. Hopefully the team he gets traded to makes him want to leave come 2010.

what if you could trade vince, swill and draft picks for barbosa and amare?

I can't see the Nets coming up with a good realistic package even with the assets we got. They can't take back 5 guys or anything and we don't have a contract big enough to pair with the young guys/picks we got. If we wanted Amare, we'd HAVE to bring in a 3rd team.

I've been looking at trying to pair Rose with Amare since draft day and now with Amare maybe on the move I have have been looking at potential deals for the Bulls as well as what other teams might offer. Keeping in mind the reports that the Suns are interested in young talent, expiring contracts in 2009 or 2010, and draft picks it narrows down the teams with potential to land him.

Bulls certainly have a shot, but it seems the suns don't want hughes (real surprise there) and our draft pick may not be high enough.

Looking at your roster and salary situation, it seems the nets have the potential if they could include simmons. Issue is that the suns don't need a sf with hill and barnes so it would have to involve a 3rd or even 4th team. Is Lopez really off limits though? What if the other Lopez came back in the deal? Package built around Swifts expiring, Lopez, Simmons (equivalent contract from 3rd team), + picks and whatever else could be a decent package. As a Bulls fan I hope Lopez is off limits, cuz I think Nets might have a shot to land Amare....and Amare & Harris combo is not something I want to see as a Bulls fan, especially not with a dormant vc on the wing. So Just wondering what you guys really think management would offer.

I think Lopez is the type of big man I'd want to play next to Amare. I couldn't part with him in my opinion. As huge of a Yi fan as I am, I'd trade any of our other young players. My only thing is that I'd probably want to extend Amare this summer. That's the problem the Suns are gonna run into. Why would anyone trade a ton of young talent for a guy who will be a 1.5 year rental? Right now I'm offering Simmons/Swift/Williams/Ager/1st for Amare/Tucker. Is it a good deal? I wouldn't say so, but I'm not giving up anyone our management believes is a major young guy for us unless we know he'll sign an extension this summer. If that is the case then I'm open to the rest of the team except Devin, Vince and Brook. That's why I said in an early post the Nets would need a 3rd team if I think we had a realistic shot.

If were gonna go for a title why not go for Richardson too. Look at this trade it's a 7 for 5 deal that actually works. We throw in our 1st this year and the Mavs pick and the Suns get young player, expirings, and picks exactly what you want when you trade a star or 2 in this case.

Doubt we could keep that team together very long but we would have the Cavs and Celtics shakin in their boots for at least this year and next year.

I have two issues with getting amare before 2010.

1- We send all these players and picks for a player that can opt out and go to whatever team he wants.
2- As talented as he is, he has personality, mother and knee issues.

I would rather wait until 2010 to TRY to sign him.

I would bring in Amare for the right package, but I am not a fan.

He plays absolutley no defense, he's a friggin' diva, he rebounds like a shooting guard and he doesn't like to pass.

Phoenix isn't gonna get nearly what you think for him, he is a very real flight risk in 2010.

I could definitely see him going to NY and re-uping in the offseason.

Then they will trade Jeffries for an expiring and if somehow possible ship out Curry.

I really don't think Lebron, Wade or Bosh joins him, but I could see an outside shot at Nash for the MLE and Kobe for a max if they have the cap space.

Depending on if D'Antoni wants him, I can see NY sending a few players with Marbury's contract for Barbosa and Amare.

Rod Thorn vs Steve Kerr. If Steve's smart he won't answer the phone.Brook and Devin are untouchable but thats it.

A guy that I HIGHLY doubt is available, but I wish we would go after is Nene.

Believe me this is going to be another Kevin McHale and Danny Ainge move, when Garnett was traded to the Celtics. I bet Kerr would give the Bulls a 50% discount since he loves the Bulls because he used to play for them and of course, Amare's gonna wanna play with them, they are the Bulls, they have a better past than our Nets team.

I agree he's perfect to play with Devin and Brooke Lopez, but I also agree with this:

Also, other teams have better chances to trade for Amare (Portland, Raef+Aldrige+Rudy+Sergio/Batum, Chicago with all their overhauled young players...)

IMO, they'd be better with a better defensive player who is more team oriented.
